I once had an impossible stuck that required my truck to get out (almost got the truck stuck too). I've decided a permanent-mount winch is not the way to go. I recently picked up a portable 2500lb winch that I can position at the tree and just mount hooks in several places on the Argo. My thinking is pulling it out backwards from low at the trailer hitch would work best. The high nose-mount winches tend to pull the machine down in to the muck.

Your videos of your Argo 6x6 are entertaining for sure. I cringed when you lifted up the rear floorboard and seen all that mug, sticks and twiggs jammed in your frame axel and chains. A 1998 Argo Bigfoot was my first Argo I bought which needed a complete frame out restoration because it wasn't taken care of. It was pretty neglected and abused but I got it working and looking like new after the restoration.

@@Ripsky I buy older model abused and neglected Argos and restore them as a little hobby. These machines are such an awesome ATV but crazy expensive for the new ones. Rebuilding the late 80's, 90's and early 2000 model 6x6s and 8x8 is way cheaper than getting a newer one that do the same thing. I did a few videos on fixing the first Argo Bigfoot I bought. It was worse than I thought or the guy told me when I bought it but it was still a fun project Rebuilding it. The Bigfoot 6x6 was one of the best 6x6s Argo made due to the larger 25" tires. It's nice to see someone else like you, as I do, enjoying these machines. Keep the videos coming!

Were you giving it full throttle when you were trying to move around in there? I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that less throttle is better for the muddy water but, I was just curious.

I did both. sometimes full throttle seems to be better.
