In 2001 the George Washington Inaugural Bible paid a visit to the Erie County Fair to mark in part the 100th Anniversary of the assassination of President William McKinley and the inauguration of President Teddy Roosevelt, one of the few to ever take place outside of Washington. George Washington took the presidential oath of office on it in 1789 as did President Warren Harding in 1921, Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953, Jimmy Carter in 1977 and George H.W. Bush in 1989. John Kosich reports for WKBW-TV 7 in Buffalo.
