She is really the popstar queen of this generation. She can belt, whistle, and run riffs. She can sing a soul, jazz, pop, trap, RNB, hiphop, broadway, classic, alternative such things. She has potential, but there's more genres she can explore, like going REAL old school. Like OLD, OLD School. She's done jazz, but does she know Swing? It's back, 100 years later in the 2020's (even though swing was born in 1930, not 1920.) it's called ElectroSwing (Electronic/Pop+Swing). Let's see Ariana tackle that...

I respect this so much. A younger generation singer respecting and singing the song of a vocal master from a time where singing was about LOVE. It just shows Aretha’s influence over the WORLD. The point of music is to bring people together, and to inspire. That is exactly what Aretha did while breaking social and racial barriers. Much love and respect to Ariana, and Aretha Franklin.

Hearing her sing this kind of song, this kind of music, it sounds like it was MEANT for her to sing. I love her music. But really need her to come out with a jazz album PLZ

Shes great but it wasnt.. she lacks the power Aretha had on this track. It was beautiful but not the best.

so much respect. she could promote her own music, instead she tributed to aretha. one of the most selfless and kindhearted women of our generation.

Roy I have. I like it but it's a bit too bubblegum pop for me. I'm talking about something grown. Maybe when she gets to her 30s or before that idk. Something classic and more critically acclaimed and more diva than pop star. In my personal opinion anyway

I come back to Ari's live performances every now and then and this is the first one I visit. I wish SO MUCH that she did a soul album. She's doing great as is, but I humbly think she needs better songwriters and producers than her last album, and that she needs to lean into this part of her voice much more. Cause this type of singing vibrates with ANYONE in the world. EVERYONE.
