These licensed vocal teachers in the comments are saying her voice declined...where bitch? Lol. A lot of people really cant tell the difference between vocal maturity and decline. Ariana is at a point in her life where her body, vocals, etc are changing. Her technique in the upper belts are exactly the same as they were during HMT. Her voice just deepened. Im actually glad she isnt belting above G5 every night. Regardless of technique, tessitura or any of that, belting at the top of her belting range every night is still not healthy guys. Believe it or not, shes taking care of her voice. She not 20 anymore. Her mid belts actually improved drastically and Im lovinggg it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But why come here and talk about how she "declined" and not about the things shes improved in. Dem runs baby! Her musicianship is getting sooo much better and we're starting to hear different melodies to her runs. Faster and cleaner runs. Improvement in her lows. Supporting more of her mid belts. I wont sit here and act like she shouldnt use a better technique (she knows how to use a good technique, but chooses not to) But some of you are really going overboard lol. I'm actually loving her new vocals. Her belts sound much more heavy and full. She is also focusing on utilizing her vibrato as well. The only thing I miss is her head voice, it's like she lost it. I love that she's changing her technique for the better.

I'm not a music reader but I am a singer and ive noticed Ari is holding back a little and being less reckless with how she uses her voice. The Honeymoon tour had two albums worth of material that she's sung time and time again so her voice is comfortable and well adjusted to hitting the high notes. the Dangerous Woman album was not only newer but the songs in it are much harder to sing especially while trying to dance, do runs and riffs and hit all of the high notes while executing all of the vocal acrobatics. In time her voice will adjust to singing these songs, the tour only just started.

lol everyone is really jumping on the bandwagon about how awful her technique is now. It's pretty similar to how it's always been, just chestier in the mixed voice which is why the ease is lessened. But I actually like her voice up to around Eb5 a little more now and even some of her Moonlight E5's are sounding pretty nice, less throaty and high larynx than most of her past ones. That being said at E5 and above her tension does seem to have increased a little :(

okay so yes I was a big fan of the honeymoon tour & all 2016 even when she started to go mid-tone. However, as we all know, after ariana is on tour for a while, her vocals IMPROVE (dramatically I must say). even though she was clearly tired at that point & needed time to rest, her voice was stronger, more resonant, more support in her high notes, etc. I do love this deeper tone but there will always be a special place in my heart designated to her falsettos, Bbs, etc. All these people saying she was straining during the honeymoon tour but this is literally 10x worse. I just want her voice to be healthy honestly because she runs pop & is the vocalist of this generation.

So correct me if I'm wrong but arianas vocal evolution: 2012: Chesty and full. 2013: More of a light airy tone, good falsetto. 2014: it got bad... 2015: literally some of the best vocals I've heard from her and she was a falsetto queen on the honeymoon tour. And her mixed belts were flawless in my opinion. 2016: still great vocals but she kinda lost her falsetto? Her lows improved tho. And her upper belts were good. 2017: it sounds like she's forcing vibrato on upper belts too much (don't get me wrong tho the vibrato on those e5 belts sounds AMAZING) and her upper belts sound more strained, like she's trying to make them more chesty like back in the day? So can someone tell me if she's on a vocal decline? She doesn't sound as good as she didn't in 2015 and 2016? Maybe 2014 is just making a bit of a comeback and later in the year she'll sound good again. I've also heard that her technique is worse these days? Her voice is deeper and way stronger, the vibrato she get right now is insane compare to before. Her agility is also oustanding compare to before. She lost a little ease but i totaly prefer her F5 on break in this, so much stronger and emotional, she lost ease to win resonance, power, agility and a oustanding vibrato, and you speak about decline ? I totaly prefer her voice now. She sing middle, low and belt note with a way better quality in my point of view. Before apart from singing G5, A5, Bb5 and silencing a good part of the song to regain strength, it was not really famous.
