she's blocking vocals, not the final session, gain on the mic is probably low, doesnt matter as it's just being used for reference

@ she’s using a shire sm7b, while that is somewhat true as someone who has one as it’s directional it will pick up speakers stop speaking out ur mouth 😭. this is a block draft again she doesn’t need it to be perfect.

Can someone confirm if she’s using the Shure SM7B Dynamic Microphone? If it’s not that, can anyone tell me what microphone that is?

That is either the SM7B or the original SM7, BUT… before you go and buy one because you saw Ariana using it, what she’s doing here is not the official vocal we here, she is coming up with the melodies for the track which that camp do before adding the lyrics. They stick auto tune on and come up with melody only using a dynamic mic (Sm7, Sm57 etc.) Then after they come up with lyrics they will record with a condenser microphone as you can see in her recording with Max Martin she is using a Telefunken 251 Hope this helps!
