It's because soooooo many people have it. It's not that unique or unexpected. That's not to say that brown curly hair isn't beautiful. Like, if you wanna be natural, then go for it! But it is kinda boring unless you really style it and make it glamorous. This is coming from someone with dull, ashy brown hair and waves- I look so blahhhh unless I freshen up the color and blow dry my hair.

I remember Ariana saying in an interview from waaaaaaay back that there were so many brunettes on Victorious that the producers wanted to do something different with one of the girls hair. Not sure how they decided it should be Ariana (idk, maybe because her character was the quirky one of the group lol) but apparently she signed a contract with Nickoloaden giving the channel the rights to her hair! The red wasn't even her choice. Maybe that explains why she had to dye it so much and eventually caused some damage. Pretty wild stuff.

That doesn't mean that it's like that for everyone though. I remember Ari rocking a fingertip length braided high pony in "no tears left to cry". There is absolutley no way for me to wear my own fingertip length hair in a pony for more that maybe two hours. Her extensions are probably heavier than my hair too. Honestly either she is super lucky or she just knows how to deal with the pain.
