This album was definitely a grower, my instant faves were: Better Off, Goodnight n Go, God is A Woman, and Breathin’ (sometimes NTLTC depending on my mood lol). Those would be the songs I added to my playlists every time. ((Dangerous Woman is my favorite album so I had a hard time getting into sweetener. 🥴)) Upon my very delayed revisit two years later, the songs I initially didn’t like are actually super fun! REM is currently on repeat, I remember liking it but it didn’t click with me until now.

because sweetener is objectively BETTER than anything ariana has ever done, it won "Best Pop Vocal Album" because as a household name she could've did a whole album with "bops" and mainstream pop radio hits but she took a risk and expiremented with new sounds (a neo-soul/RnB trap infused production) and vocal techniques (she mostly sang in her lower register expect for a few tracks).
