UFC matmakers dropped off too. As a reporter you will kind of always back the fights and blow it up more than it is. I'd give it all back if we could get the ufc back from 10-20 years ago. Boxing too.

Historically? Not even close. I would say this is one of the declines. Interesting fighters and fights arent coming back to back. 2009-2010 was an amazing year. 2014-2015 was amazing, 2020 was solid. Evem throwback years were better. 2004-2005 also

It's slowly going down, I think the time during 2020 - 2022 was the best time. All the UFC does now is keep trying to act like Conor and Jones is gonna come back, instead of giving the new guys who are actually active any kind of attention.

No, give them media attention, like what's been going on lately, it's just annoying hearing about all these inactive fighters over the ones actually out there putting in work. Idk why it's so controversial.

@@Killuminati27honestly it was overall, it’s easy to look back and think differently but at the time nobody had came in and been as good in the octagon as they were on the mic, he ran through the division and said what he was gonna do the entire time, he exceeded everyone’s expectations apart from his own. conor brought a lot of attention to the sport

Booked fights don't make exciting times, the fights themselves need to deliver and they just don't anymore. UFC has been all about technique in the last year, no violence. Boxers have been all talk for the last five years. Case in point, you talk about the presser of Ry and Devin blabbering on and not a fight. Devin/Prograis was embarrassing as was Joshua/Wilder card one sided fights. Ry fell over against Tank. Mma is no where near to where it was when Gsp, Anderson and Jon were young. Fighters are unable to take risk in fights these days at all!

you guys are getting excited about booked fights and not the fights themselves? Every fight now is a puppy dog fight. Ironically money killed the ufc, they make so much these days they don't care if the fights deliver. Fights are no where near as "exciting" as 10 years ago just from the fact that fighters gave close to their all most of the time. Now it's 20% every fighter at the Apex or on PPV

No time beats when Mayweather was at his peak. Had Mosley, Chavez, Cotto, Pac, Hatton, Magarito, Broner, Judah, Berto, & many more. Boxing was King, when those fighters fought each other, it was like the Super Bowl

I like the show a lot. But it does need to be adressed: Boxing and UFC are not the same fan base. Nor are they an overlapping demographic. Boxing fans are not UFC fans. People who are very interested in boxing, are not watching UFC podcasts. For this reason, it doesn't make sense to cover boxing and UFC in the same video. Separate videos would target the separate demographics better and retain more viewership.

I worked with Aldo for quite awhile before the Conor fight. I worked for Canal Combate at the time and they were really trying to cash in on the fight. We did a few promotions together, including an Ad for the fight. I even flew from São Paulo to Rio alone with him. I got to know quite a humble down to earth guy. Was completely devastated when he lost the way he did....Was the only time I didn't stick around the Combate studio for the post fight show/banter.

No chance... Somewhere from 2015,2016 to 2021,2022 was the peak... Now ,I feel it's just going down,no real stars and hype like before...Apart from Poatan,Islam and now Ilia a little bit of European hype and that's it.... Personally I am losing interest, don't know if it's just me or everyone else feels like this?

Yep me too! Used to be a fanatic but the APEX cards and fighter quality are ruining it for me, they don’t build stars and personalities and cards like they used too

Right now, there are still really big name stars, and we are still fully in the Golden Age of UFC. Because today's stars are so talented, the talent level has risen dramatically since 12 years ago. Now, you can see amazing striking, and guys with poor striking don't do well anymore in the UFC. You have to be good at everything now. So it's a more fun sport to watch than the GSP "lay and pray" days where he had awful fights. The problem right now is Dana White ruining the matchmaking, making totally illogical fights. Not giving Tom Aspinall a fight with Jon Jones is an abomination, and Dana and Hunter should both be fired from matchmaking permanently.

UFC-Thinest heavyweight division . The guy who fought Alex is an ass. Islam is one of the most unlikable champs of all time(not even good heels;)etc. etc. "BMF"? seriously? Cant wait to buy and see Francis/Joshua card tho! Is there more heavyweight talent on the Francis/Joshua card than in the entire UFC?
