It comes down to this. If a boxer ever mentions that they are the best fighter in the world they have to back it up by fighting mma. A boxing champ is the best boxer in the world but that in no way even puts them in the top 100 of best “fighter” in the world. A wrestler with a purple belt will beat the best boxer in the world 99 out of 100 times. Tyson Fury claiming he could beat up any top ten mma fighter in a mma fight is where this stems from. Jon Jones is not ever claiming he is better boxer than any professional boxer. Boxers just their panties in a bunch when mma fighters tell them what reality is.

Ariel is constructed bashing Dana and business choices made by the UFC all because he has a vendetta against Dana and beef with him. I'd argue he's doing a disservice to the sport he covers and claims to love so much, by constantly bashing them. It's a little bit like if you claimed to be a big supporter of a Nascar driver but constantly bashed the mechanics that work on the car he drives. Us hardcore fans see it for what it is, but if i was a newer UFC fan and tuned into this show and every week hearing the president of the UFC being bashed and Ariel constantly bashing the UFC for promotional choices or fights they did or didn't make. It's just a gross feeling. Ariel has been especially hateful the past few months too. Even as someone who's always loved the show, I've been finding Ariels negativity lately to be getting a bit much.
