@@BeatsAndGuitars I have 233 miles on mine since I received it on July 11th. At 188 miles I added a second battery so my ranges will be different. After watching this video yesterday I set my max speed to 28km like he did which gave me a wide open throttle of 17.5mph. I only tested throttle only at 17.5 yesterday because I thought his result of 5% a mile at that speed sounded high. I made 3 runs testing that. I went to my riding trail (paved path on top the Mississippi River levee). I had 59% when I got there so I drove it till it dropped to 58% and stopped. I set my gps for 2 miles and it took 3% and I stopped at 55%. Then I decided to see how far I could go using 5% going against a little head wind this time and went 2.6 miles and stopped at 50%. Then I gps’d my ride home from there. It was 1.7 miles and when I pulled up to my door it dropped from 50% to 49% (no head wind). I think if he were to do more riding at his throttle only 17mph he would average a good bit better than 5% a mile. I have only fully charged my dual set up once and got close to 45 miles using 51% battery, all throttle. Mostly going 20-22mph with a couple 30+ mph hits. You can expect 30ish miles on a full charge (1 battery) throttle only traveling 20-25mph on flat ground. I bought it mostly for entertainment not exercise so I don’t pedal much. That being said I did try all kinds of combinations of pedaling when I first got it. You can easily get a workout if you want and you can also pedal without feeling like your doing anything. I love it. Im 6’2” 190lbs and my only hill around me is going up the levee which it does with authority! Hope you enjoy yours!

Thanks for the additional data. It seems you are getting better range than me, is that right?
@toneighty69132 жыл бұрын
@@thejunker5961 if you were to use 5% per mile from a full charge to 20% charge that would only give you 16 miles. At that speed (17mph) you should only be averaging 300ish watts so you should be able to sustain that for over 2 hours traveling 34+ miles before you get to 20% battery making your percent battery used per mile much lower than the 5% used in the video. I know the percent will vary under many different conditions especially wind and hills. Maybe going 1 mile is too short to get a good average. I think on a longer run you would average 2 to 2.5% per mile. That lake ride looks cool.
@thejunker59612 жыл бұрын
@@toneighty6913 I concur with your math. I've found the battery seems to lose less at higher charges. I will do a longer ride and see what happens. Unfortunately, the area i live is very hilly, with the lake being the flattest part of town.

Amazing range on the Kepler 🔋✅ We did a 33 mile round trip and it still had 36% battery left. This was averaging 17-18 mph, with SEVERAL miles long full throttle runs Excellent machine 🤘🏽

Kepler is great. I need to do a long distance ride and see how my battery life compares. I seem to be getting less mileage than most, maybe due to my hilly area?

I have just put 200 miles on my new Kepler. All of my rides have been in the hilly terrain, here in the Gold Country (foothills) of California. I rarely use my throttle and constantly pedal for all of the rides. I love the workout, along with the pedal-assist. My conclusion, for maximum distance on a full battery charge, in hilly terrain, with power level 2 and 3, is roughly 40 miles.
@kevinnashskitchen35172 жыл бұрын
I'm getting about 18 miles before battery leaves 100% when using PAS 1 in top speed setting 40 mph. That's with 9 levels and 1 being 17mph. After going to 90% or so battery, it will drop 1-2% every mile when remaining in PAS 1 at 17mph. 23 miles or so I'm at that 90%..33 miles can be about 70% 45 miles in that 50% range. That's not touching the throttle and only 17mph top speed. Level ground . 50% at 40 plus miles so far.

I get 40 to 50 miles on my kepler using pas1 only set between 1to9. Top speed on pas1 is 19mh and degrades as battery drains.
@thejunker59612 жыл бұрын
I think the Kepler has great distance in what I would call "cruising mode", but once you take it to the high power settings, it really drains that battery, as expected. Such a fun and versatile bike.

Great bike, lousy company. I bought an X class & a Kepler this time last year. The X class was fine, but the Kepler was either damaged in shipment, or at the warehouse, most likely the warehouse. I called several times to no avail & emailed them 5 times over the next 5 days waiting for a response. They finally responded by accusing me of damaging the digital readout myself during installation. They would never send me a replacement readout, or offer to take the bike back. I have had the bike for over a year & have never been able to ride it due to their negligence & indifference. I finally had to file a case against them with my credit card company which remanded my payment back to me for this bike. I would have gladly taken a replacement display & paid them half price for it. Now I have a 100 pound paperweight, my money back & this story. They have nothing but this story.

thanks again bigt another great video, im starting ti think this kepler is a mirage cause was suppose to get end of july and i havent even got a peep, tried calling emailing nothing at all. never had any problems with my xp 2.0. if so you can get someone roght away. they got $2000 of my money plus i have like $700 in upgrades that i might have to return if dont hear anthing soon. also internet said i ordered 6/30. that batch is out for delivery. and NOTHING.
@thejunker59612 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that, I know how frustrating it can be waiting. They did respond to my emails when I asked them for delivery updates. But I ordered on 6/8. The bike is real, I think they have issues getting the containers out of customs. I don't work for Ariel, or have any affiliation with them, but the bike is worth the wait IMHO. The 1000W motor is a beast and it has been amazing for commuting.

Very useful info. I’m curious about two things- what’s the slowest top speed you can set it to in the menu? Also if you would have set 5 levels of PAS in this test would you have gotten a slower speed in PAS 1? I think it would be nice to be able to get 6-8mph in PAS 1 for certain situations but maybe I’m only saying that because I don’t have the bike yet lol. Great video man.
@thejunker59612 жыл бұрын
I will check it out, but I think the low speed stays the same. But I was barely pedaling the bike and it was going about 10mph.
@thejunker59612 жыл бұрын
I did a test with 5 PAS levels and the low speed did not change, just more speed levels between the low speed and high speed. My low speed was still like 9-10mph.

How is the torque. I was thinking of going thru some mountain bike trails that have a few dirt hills. Would this bike make it up a fairly steep hill if I pedal with it.
