This was such a lovely project to squeeze in before the end of the year! Like I mention in the video, this video is in part sponsored by Wayfair to share the video I made on their channel, all about the history of Mid Century Modern style! Check it out here: bit.ly/astyleisborn (Thanks to everyone who goes over there and gives it a watch! ♥)

Just watched it and your hard work really shows! Looking forward to other parts of the serious and hope they’re paying you well! I’d love to see more on Bauhaus, Victorian and Scandinavian 😇 I’m sure there are lots of others that I haven’t really thought of before so can’t wait to see what you come up with.

I know this video is a little dusty and I'm sure you've changed things around by now, but I still wanted to add my unsolicited opinion: The lamp looks amazing and perfect with the green paint, colorful artwork and those GORGEOUS doors. I think you should keep it. However, the shade is way too small for it and the paintings behind the lamp throw it off balance. My suggestion is to lose the map (but I love it), get a larger lampshade of your choosing and then balance that out with the remaining two pictures. Possibly, tie the lampshade color to a hue that is common to the lamp base and one of the paintings . Perhaps one with a non-competitive tonal pattern. Or you could hand-paint something on it. Or you could just go neutral, in a natural fiber of some sort and really good texture. But my gosh I'm in love with your house!! Especially the creepy bits. Can't wait to catch up! 💜 *edited for emoji illiteracy *edited yet again for grammatical stupidity. If you see any other errors in my comment please don't tell me. 😁

I think a rounder, more shapely shade would really suit the design of the lamp base, like a little scalloped dome or a small vintage glass dome shade. It's such a gorgeous lamp!

My older sister and I had a competition to see who could thrift all of the hard back Series of Unfortunate Events books. I had gone to the thrift store down the street from HER house and in the window was the ENTIRE series for sale for only $25. I WON! Now they sit proudly on a Baudelaire themed shelf!! I love watching your renovation videos you have such a unique style that's really inspiring, you also got me back into reading thank you for that.

Such a cute space! I love having little pockets of happiness around in the house. And those minis are the most adorable thing in the world! The lamp is gorgeous and it brings much needed light to a space without windows. Maybe switch the paintings so the single is above the lamp and the doubles aren’t blocked, to bring a little more balance?
