Can anyone name one fighter to ever get a title shot their first fight in the UFC? I think its complete bullshit, Sheilds is way better and still had to earn his shot. Diaz has a terrible record in the UFC. He says he's not scared of GSP but he's scared to fight Fitch for a title shot...And if he BY SOME COMPLETE luck getsthe win, he would sooner leave the UFC then give the rematch. If I'm wrong about this being the first time a fighter got a title shot his first fight in the UFC let me know

@DonaldWMose why did you say Anderson has better BJJ? It's confusing as he rarely uses it. GSP is a Gracie trained bjj black belt as well so it would be foolish to make assumptions. Silvas striking is fantastic yet his wrestling is subpar. Especially to the best takedown artist in the UFC, GSP. Anderson is not stronger, as you say. He is a bigger man yet weaker. Freddie roach worked with both silva and St. Pierre and he stated George is much stronger. I question your credibility.

@tutonez Dream on. GSP had virtual TKO's against Fitch and Koscheck (the fights obvioulsy went to decision, but should have been stopped. Especially the Koscheck fight) TKO'd BJ Penn and won a comfortable decision against Shields. Diaz wouldn't even beat these guys, let alone GSP. Sure GSP aint a 'lets stand there and test each others chin' sort of guy.... because he's smart. The way to win fights is to not get hit, especially when you're defending a title. Fuck the fans, fight smart I say.

I dont expect my fav fighters to get bloodied and concussed for my entertainment, I'd rather see them have a long career. who cares if GSP wrestles the boxer and boxes the wrestler? its genius and it shows what a complete fighter he is. and hey, if u get taken down time and time again, cant sweep or stay off your back, then ur not a complete fighter and need to consider a new career.

@DonaldWMose Anderson has the best record?...has lost to guys that he's never beat and no wins over top 10 p4p fighters. GSP has defeated everyone to ever beat him, finished them and he holds 5 wins over fighters ranked top 10 p4p when the fight happened. Silva has more wins and finishes, but George is alot younger and on pace to catch up. no one will be able to say who is better until both are retired or until we see the superfight of all superfights.

@tmxman23 how do you expect for the UK to have good fighters 1) mma is more popular in the US, so more train 2) the large number of pro mma fighters in america means at least SOME of them will be good 3) few decent mma gyms compared to jacksons, tristar,grudge etc you only get good fighters when ppl train hard ppl only train for a sport of they like it if the UK is gna get anybody to be champ anytime soon then mma needs to be made popular the UK has talented fighters - david haye, amir khan...

Ive never heard Anderson say that...I agree that neither are ducking one another..and its up to the UFC foresure..Anderson being 36, not sure how many more fights he will do..I also think the UFC were waiting for Sonnens situation...Deep down they want to make that rematch, it would be a huge draw. who wants 5round fights? its gonna turn mma into boxing. fighters are going take their time because they know that they eventually have to fight 30minutes. like in boxing where often nothing happens in the first 7rounds. look at K1, every single fight is a war because they have no time. they have to finish or show the judges who is the better fighter in 3x3 minutes. this is horrible news to all the fans.

@kokoth its not a case of being spoiled mma is more popular in canada that it is in the uk - fact. canada is much bigger and has a greater population which = more profit, so canada/america, in that sense, deserve big fights tbh the timezone screws the UK over, bcos its not prime time in america/canada, thats why we get crap fights admittedly mma isnt incredibly popular in the UK atm but it never will be unless people get regular exposure to good quality fights btw dana i deserve free tickets!

@Rage00Against People have overlooked the obvious with GSP....He has said 100 times he has to still put on alittle more weight to move up and GSP has also said he would never move up for one fight...When or if he moves up it will be for the rest of his career...Anderson wont do a catchweight, which I cant blame him since its probably hard to make even 185...Really Anderson should move up to 205 since he walks around at 215-220..GSP walks around at 190.

@itsfaith77 swing for the fences but never hurts anybody from inside their guard. and he wasn't going for any or many armlocks from half guard or side control. he kept going for a guillotine since he thinks he can catch everybody with that now. imagine if he spent a lot of time on leg locks. and became a leg lock machine. even if he lost position he can always put them back on the ground. he'd be a lot more exciting if he took my white-belt advice. takedowns and leg locks all night.

@joshyohey i doubt it. longer events mean more time to put ads/sponsors in, which means more money. thats the reason they chose the 5round fights. "dana" knows that longer fights are going to drag the tempo down. "dana" knows K1, he knows boxing.
