This. This is EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! Ingenious idea to number the kids' hands! I've tried giving coins that were numberedBut then the kids would lose them or they wouldn't give them back to me. I also have trouble when it's at the end of the line and I tell them I only have such and such time. I tried to avoid the whining but it always seems like a parent will come up and beg me to do more on their child even though I have said no I have to go and actually I always paint over my time. I am definitely going to do this for my next face painting gig and hope it works out. Thanks for this great idea.

I love this video! Just started doing face painting as a side form of income. The little girl with the butterfly shirt reminded me of a girl at the first party I serviced that didn't know what she wanted done. I saw her outfit had a strawberry print and offered to paint a strawberry for her, and her face lit up (: That's the best feeling.

I had fun watching this and your voice over and notes were very helpful. I am so amazed how you just spontaneously paint anything to those kids just by talking to them. Here in the Philippines, face painter shows most of the time a catalogue of sample paints so the kids can choose. Wow! thanks for the great vids, i will stick around for sure. I am always fascinated to face painting during bday parties and decided will give a try. Wish me luck!! :)

This video was so helpful! Yesterday was my first time face painting for kids at a friend's party. I am very into makeup and got roped into the gig, which I turned out loving. I now know what I need to work on- speed and one stroke techniques- and I hope to make it a business soon. You gave some great tips, including products, organization, and technique, and I am so thankful. I was also thinking about regular makeup parties for teens, since that is what I'm best at, generally. Hello, this family was a friend so that's why I asked. I wouldn't ever setup a camera at a regular birthday party. If I do it at a public event I ask every single kid and parent which can be time confusing so I don't do it very often.

With the way you sit for long periods, it may be good to see a physical therapist. Yes you like the way this chair set up makes you feel. But the physical therapist can give you exercises to use to increase core strength. So you wont have issues in the future. They can help a lot if you discus with them your concerns and give them a photo of how you sit. With the rise of computer jobs, many of the PTs are doing studies and focusing on heights of chairs and proper postures and set ups. Face painting is your job, so it is good to take care of yourself for the long term. Wonderful video!

Hi , i m new to this field and have learned that i shouldn’t double dip after applying the paint in the face , it’s not easy if i run out of paint to quickly rinse, clean , sanitize and the. Reload. What would everyone do?
@Arielpaints4 ай бұрын
My opinion: That is not sustainable in this industry. The paints are hyper allergenic and it’s perfectly fine to double dip a brush into paint. We are not surgeons. We are painting faces. I do use a new sponge when sponging over the eyes and mouth, but I do not sanitize brushes on the job. The risk of getting alcohol left on a sponge and getting it into someone’s eye is far greater of a risk than double dipping. 99% of professional face, painters, reload brushes, and do not sanitize on the job.

I'm a beginner and just trying to understand the process a bit more. Between kids, I'm assuming u are not able to wash brushes correct? Do you just have some brushes devoted to certain colours and certain split cakes and u stick with those? Or are you indeed rinsing and changing water between every child? Thank you to anyone who can educate me. :)
@Arielpaints4 жыл бұрын
Yes, usually just keep the same colors on brushes so you don't have to rinse them out.

I really hope someone can answer this question. But I am an amateur face painter but I am experiencing bleeding of the paints. When I layer paints on top they blend or bleed. Do you have any tips?
@Arielpaints3 жыл бұрын
You want to think of face painting like paint by numbers. Paint in sections not layers. That doesn't mean you can't layer anything but you have to understand that when you go over face paint with move face paint you are activating what is underneath. This takes some time and practice to figure out. Hope that helps.

Did you ask about setting up camera in advance? And was this recorded with your phone or a camera on a tripod? Let’s Go Ya’ll!!!!!™

Yes, I would not setup a camera without permission and clear understanding. This was a friends home. I would not request this from a regular booked gig. I used a video camera on a tripod.
