This is one of the realest lessons I've heard in MANY years, there is SO MUCH pressure on younger guitarists to do the crazy shit they saw in the short clip, ignoring all the context around it, the silence that allows the sound to pop out, the mellow parts which allow the peaks to ring through, the evolution, phases, and psychedelic journeys you can take people on when you take a step back and play from your heart. INCREDIBLE

@Sloozer453 жыл бұрын
@Shred5 just for sake of accuracy, Palmisano didn't change the title to, "The Best Solo..."; That's the title the original poster gave it. So, Palmisano is just informing us which video he's reacting to.
@shred53 жыл бұрын
@@Sloozer45 for the sake of accuracy, if you're going to correct someone you should at least make sure you're not full of shit. He did in fact change the title by dropping the end off the title, as the full title is "Possibly the best guitar solo I’ve heard in 12 years of owning a music venue! Keep Watching!" Removing the end gives it a completely different context.

Ariel, In watching the "Best solo" video I was foremost impressed about how you mixed slide playing with single note playing but I can see now - in your candid demonstrations here that you often combine slide and standard single note playing within a single lick or phrase! That seems very unique! And, you're doing all this in standard tuning which is I believe much more challenging for slide. Generally in standard I use the slide on my 2nd finger so I can slant the slide and get more chordal variety - but also use my pinky at times. Nice meeting you Ariel. I'll watch for your band. Very good music! Excellent stuff!
