50:09 Discount Brian Kibler (Kyle Hill) misses his commander's triggered ability here (twice)! That's two more cards to play with and two more counters on the big man. Not sure if it's game determinative (who can ever know these things?), but it bears being noted. ABC's of Magic, fellow commenters: Always Be Checking your triggers. If you have triggered abilities, try to remember the things that can trigger them and have some kind of reminder if you're not sure you will.

Also, second, more educational comment: Even with an instant, Olivia could not have prevented Arin tapping for triple mana on that final turn (or rather, she could have, but she missed her chance to.) Brian alluded to this briefly, but this is due to what is known as "priority." In magic the gathering, there are cards with timing restrictions, like sorceries, that can only be played during your own main phase, while cards labeled "instant" or creatures with the keyword "flash" can be played on anyone's turn, in any phase OF the turn. HOWEVER. Even when playing those instant speed cards, you can only do so once you have received priority, which happens at every phase of resolving the stack, as well as at each transition into the next phase of the turn. So, for example, I begin my turn. I now have priority. Untap step happens first, which itself cannot be responded to (in other words, someone cannot play a spell during your untap phase) but as it moves to your upkeep, there is a priority check, starting with the current active player, and going around the table clockwise (aka normal turn order.) This happens again when moving from upkeep to draw step, and from draw to main phase 1, etc. It also happens when an ability is placed on the stack. Once the player with priority has put a spell or ability onto the stack, they still have priority, and can add any number of additional spells or abilities to the stack in whichever order they choose, provided they have the mana to do so. Then, once they PASS priority to the next player, that player can do the same, and so on and so forth until all players have passed priority and it has gone back to the initial player, at which point, the most recent ability or spell to be placed on the stack resolves (because the stack resolves in reverse order.) After each effect or spell resolves, priority is checked again with every player, each of which can now add more to the stack if they wish before the next thing resolves, placing their new effect or spell ahead in the resolution chain. All of that to say this: Tapping for mana does not use the stack. Because Arin already had priority (since Olivia did not do anything in any of the phase transitions prior) Olivia could not cast an instant speed removal spell targeting the Nyxbloom Ancient until Arin passes priority, either by changing turn phases or putting something on the stack. Since tapping does not use the stack, and the Nyxbloom ability is static/passive rather than triggered, the stack is not used, and priority is retained, preventing Olivia from destroying it. If she wished to destroy it before he could use the mana, she would have needed to do so prior to his main phase 1. While he could still tap mana in response to her kill spell, mana does not carry through phases (unless an in play effect says otherwise), so unless he was going to spend it on an instant speed spell of his own, it would go to waste. Veteran players will obviously already know these things, but I realize many of my fellow viewers are either new, or do not even play magic themselves, so I thought I'd clear that little bit up for their sake. Magic has a lot of intricate rules that can easily go unnoticed in a casual setting. Heck, when I first started playing I didn't even know creatures had summoning sickness, and my friends and I just played as though everything had haste. Until we saw the actual keyword haste, found out what it does, and had that "ooooooooohh...." moment lol. Anyway, hope that helped at least one person. Toodles.

This isn't for Commander at Home, obviously this was recorded in the past and no amount of comments would change that (lol), but instead a cool learning opportunity for watchers: 30:00: When you proliferate permanents' +1/+1 counters, you are "adding counters" to that permanent, meaning something like Olivia's Hardened Scales or a hypothetical Doubling Season would have its replacement effect affect that proliferation. So in this game's case, Olivia would have added 2 +1/+1 counters to each permanent instead.

For Arin's X typal deck, it might already be in there, but there's a card called "Elementalist's Pallete" that taps for any color, but any time you cast a spell with X in it's cost, you get two charge counters, and you can choose instead to tap it for a colorless for each charge counter on it, but the mana can only be used on costs that contain X. I've been looking for a deck that would benefit from this card. It's from Commander 2021, and I know for sure it's in the Prismari Performance precon because that's where I got it, but I'm so glad I finally found a potential home for that card if I ever wanted to try my hand at building this Commander.
