A compilation of recordings we took the past couple of days. Some interesting things alright, even got to see a few departures after the show.

Did anyone else notice the front gear down on the AV-8B second high speed pass?!... I was there when that happened and was standing next to the harrier demo team... I said “that wasn’t supposed to happen at 580 mph right” ? They just looked at me and we’re on the radios for like 15 minutes! The pilot had no idea, he had to fly away in the hills for like 20 minutes to figure things out...lol still one of my favorite aircraft!

That battle between Strega and Voodoo was the best I've seen, Voodoo was so low at the end, very impressive and no drama this year which is good.

Thanks for the video. Even though I live in Reno, haven't been to the air races in years simply because I got tired of seeing basically the same aircraft over and over. Didn't even bother checking things out when the ramp was open and entrance was free....maybe I'll check it out next year because they look like they now have different aircraft showing up.

when you go back be sure to check out the "little guys" , Sport class, . ok I am biased :) son on team #87 "Dilemma" rookie of the year 2016

Yes the sport class is something a regular guy can build and compete. It won't be cheap but it's not like these unobtainium P51.

Amazing to see one in private ownership. 39 years ago we were using them to knock spots off the Argentinians.....

Isn't the P-51 as fast or faster than the A-10???
@liarliarliar64957 жыл бұрын
no, 438 mph versus 518
@8literbeater5 жыл бұрын
@soaringtractor Eh, Voodoo *used to be* a P-51. It doesn't make sense to compare a standard A-10 to a highly modified unlimited class race plane and still call it a P-51 for the purposes of comparison.

Thank god the Americans had enough sense to keep the harrier jump jet unlike the British Air Force

clive hudson the RAF didn’t have any say in it, blame the penny pinchers in the government.

Maybe you want look up the amount of unfortunate fatalities in the Harrier before you go running your mouth.

@@0penminds How many did they (RAF) have?

Of course they kept it, AND had all the British a/c (incl spares) ...... how else were they going to flog the woefully awful F35???

That was exciting. Too bad they are fading away.

Hi Iflysna94, I work for a TV Production Company called Title Role we are making a series about flights and we would potentially like to use some of your footage of Reno in our show. Please could you email me at mattbowcott@titlerole.co.uk to discuss this further Thanks Matt
