Stockholm syndrome. Most of those people aren't actually tribalist. They certainly weren't until they were told by APC to be. People's development have been arrested in Nigeria, and they will turn wherever they are told to turn at the promise of a meal, 1k, credit etc, Lagos is no exception now sadly.

@@okeoja4447 You're missing the point. Wherever Obi won, it was a landslide, including Lagos by the way. The point is people are fed up with the APC and see no future with them and they demonstrated it across the board. Even if we are talking about zoning, equity, justice and fairness, it is right that there is an Igbo presidency, and expectedly the SE would vote massively because they have never been given a chance at the Presidency. However this is not the only reason people voted for him enmasse, to peddle tribalism as a factor for Obi's success is a lie. Unless you haven't been around this whole time, his integrity, character, sincerity of purpose and running a clean, issues based campaign alone made people sit up and listen before going into his competence, commitment and ethnic group. You think if he was a monster like other politicians he would be this successful in the elections?? Maybe fellow monsters would back him but not decent God fearing folk. So yes the SE voted massively, but guess what so did Lagos, FCT, Plateau, Benue, Rivers, Nasarrawa and so on...last time I checked Igbos aren't the dominant ethnic group in those states.
