Thanks, professor. Reuben and his half-educated likes raising trivial issues or asking trivial questions. Fellows who can't integrate or have ever travelled are in public space discussing what they have no knowledge about. I live in Enugu. Built duplex and have lands, no "omonile money" and agbero harassment when am building. My life changed since I mingled with them. Their thought pattern now become clear to me. Success footprint outside south-east lies in their integration and assimilation. They smell success and business the way tse-tse fly swarm to faeces.

Understandably, sometimes journalism can fall short, leading to what might be seen as lazy reporting. I respect the man Okey Ikechukwu so much but there’s something he has got very wrong in his explanations. Firstly, I, as the son of my father, I can not be able to buy a land belonging to Umunna, Umunna means kindreds. So if a son of a soil can not be able to buy a land in my own village, how can an outsider do? I have built my house on the land I bought in my village and I have a man from Edu state as my neighbor, he bought his own land too in my village. So Ruben is correct because he mentioned Umunna in his explanation but no one has picked that up. Ojy was correct too yet in other hand, Ruben was very aggressive and arrogant on his response

@@sunday8646hYou are misinformed, my friend. The buying and selling of property is based on mutual agreement and the willingness of both parties to proceed. Not all land in Nigeria, whether in the East, West, North, or South, is up for sale. The concept of "Umunna land" refers to land that is communally owned, meaning it cannot be sold unless all the owners agree to it. This applies across the country, as certain lands may not be available for sale due to religious or cultural reasons. However, this does not mean that communities don't sell land to outsiders. Reuben is wrong to generalize that Igbo people do not sell land, simply because some lands hold cultural or religious significance. In fact, there are numerous instances where lands collectively owned by the Umunna have been sold, but only after unanimous agreement. The fact that some lands are not for sale because of cultural or religious importance is true for many communities, not just the Igbo. It does not mean that Igbo people never sell land. Please get the facts straight and avoid misleading others. Thank you.

Abati claims to be a communications expert. He has proven several times on Arise platform that he cannot always control his temper and the victims are usually his Co presenters. He is sometimes arrogant and his attitude and comments towards Ojy who was trying to balance the discussion that had taken a life of its own due to Abatis flippant commentary, was very unfortunate and sad to watch. Even when he was given the opportunity to dial back, he kept digging his heels. Even now he can’t find some composure to apologise for causing hurt to a section of Nigerians. A shame!!!!

This man just said something very important and under looked in Ibo land. Ibos need to stop converting their valuable land into cemeteries, a piece of land is condemned once somebody is buried on it. They must look into going back to establishing community cemeteries so the living can use their land. As for Reuben Abati, he always speaks about Ibos with undertone of bigotry, mockery and disgust. The Prof., have made mentioned of a very important thing, that land is not enough making me see the reason why people are buried in the compound. He also laid a historical background of a former gov. Ndubisi who once made it clear to the people to only least out land, instead of selling due to its non availability. With all these, it shows that the non sells of land is due to the East not having much land available. Rather than insulting Dr. Abati, the people, should only give a convincing why it's alleged Igbos don't sell land.
