I respect the man Okey Ikechukwu so much but there’s something he has got very wrong in his explanations. Firstly, I, as the son of my father, I can not be able to buy a land belonging to Umunna, Umunna means kindreds. So if a son of a soil can not be able to buy a land in my own village, how can an outsider do? I have built my house on the land I bought in my village and I have a man from Edu state as my neighbor, he bought his own land too in my village. So Ruben is correct because he mentioned Umunna in his explanation but no one has picked that up. Ojy was correct too yet in other hand, Ruben was very aggressive and arrogant on his response

@@sunday8646hYou are misinformed, my friend. The buying and selling of property is based on mutual agreement and the willingness of both parties to proceed. Not all land in Nigeria, whether in the East, West, North, or South, is up for sale. The concept of "Umunna land" refers to land that is communally owned, meaning it cannot be sold unless all the owners agree to it. This applies across the country, as certain lands may not be available for sale due to religious or cultural reasons. However, this does not mean that communities don't sell land to outsiders. Reuben is wrong to generalize that Igbo people do not sell land, simply because some lands hold cultural or religious significance. In fact, there are numerous instances where lands collectively owned by the Umunna have been sold, but only after unanimous agreement. The fact that some lands are not for sale because of cultural or religious importance is true for many communities, not just the Igbo. It does not mean that Igbo people never sell land. Please get the facts straight and avoid misleading others. Thank you.

With all these, it shows that the non sells of land is due to the East not having much land available.
