Eta barabari... Even if it earns 4-5 crores (including satellite rights) it'll be a big deal. 10 crores can be earned only by MASS movies (with action, comedy, romance, foreign location dance sequences). Although Aparajito is doing amazing in multiplexes, not sure how well it'll perform in single screens. Irrespective of how amazing the movie is, or irrespective of whatever IMDB rating the movie is getting, with all due respect - Aparajito isn't exactly a mass crowd puller. Those figures (fortunately or unfortunately) are achievable only by Dev/Jeet masala films. Even that now seems difficult, given how limited number of screens are in Bengal (from around 1000 even a decade ago, the number has dwindled to 250-300 today). Therefore, while movies like Awara (2012) or even Chander Pahar (2013) managed to gather such massive box office numbers back then, such figures would be very very difficult today, even for Dev/Jeet movies. Although I would absolutely love to be proved wrong. 👍🏼

@@nabindandapat3221 Setai toh... Even without being an out n out masala film, Chander Pahar made massive gains in box office for 2 reasons: 1. It gathered audience from both single screens as well as multiplexes. Single screen because of Dev's fan following from all the commercial masala films he was working on previously, and multiplex audience who came to watch something on a Bengali literature (BibhutibhushanBabu's novel) - being converted to cinema. 2. Number of screens across Bengal was much much more in 2013 than now in 2022. So while no. of screens across India has increased - enabling films (mainly South films) to earn hundreds of crores, Bengali movies (which has very little audience outside Bengal) suffer because of reduction/shutting down of cinema screens (single screens have have vanished over the last decade, and not much replacement has happened through either new screens or new multiplexes). Aritra has already made tonnes of videos on this aspect.

আমাদের বাংলা সিনেমা ইন্ডাস্ট্রির উন্নতি হোক এটাই চাই, কিন্তু কিছু কিছু কারণে আমাদের এই ইন্ডাস্ট্রি সেই ভাবে উঠে দাঁড়াতে পারছে না, দেখে খারাপ ও লাগে, বাংলা সিনেমার যা গড়িমা ছিল সেটা কে কেউই আর এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে পারেনি। বাংলা সিনেমা যেন কোলকাতার বাইরে বেরতেই চায়না। আমি বুঝে পাইনা এই বাংলার অভিনেতা-অভিনেত্রী রা এটা কেন ভাবতে পারেনা যে কোলকাতার বাইরে একটা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ আছে। প্রত্যেকটা গ্রাম ঘুরে ঘুরে মুভির প্রমোশন সম্ভব নয় কিন্তু এঁরা কেন কোন মুভির প্রমোশনের জন্য বাকি সদর শহর গুলোতে আসবেন না। কখনো এনাদের দূর্গাপুর, বর্ধমান, বহরমপুর, সিউরি, মালদা, উত্তরবঙ্গ, পুরুলিয়া, বাঁকুড়া ইত্যাদি শহরে মুভি প্রোমোশনের জন্য দেখা যায় না (বলা ভালো পার্টির প্রোমোশনে আসেন এঁরা)। এঁদের সবাই দেখি টিভিতে বড়ো বড়ো ভাষন দেয়, আমাদের বাংলার দর্শকদের কে হলে নিয়ে আসতে হবে, প্রমোশন করতে হবে, হ্যান করতে হবে, ত্যান করতে হবে, আর প্রমোশনের বেলায় দেখি কলকাতা আর কিছু ইউটিউব চ্যানেল গুলো(অরিত্র দা খারাপ ভাবে নিওনা) পশ্চিমবঙ্গে পরিণত হয়ে যায়। বাংলা সিনেমা ইন্ডাস্ট্রির উন্নতি হোক এটাই চাই আর পাশাপাশি আপনাদের মানসিকতাও। কলকাতার বাইরের মানুষেরা এটা কিছুটা হলেও অনুভব করতে পারবেন। ধন্যবাদ

ব্যাঙ্গালোরে ১৩ ই মে খালি একটা শো ছিল, তাও সন্ধ্যে ৬.৫০ এ আর শুধুই একটা দিনের জন্য। এখন সেটা ১৯ তারিখ পর্যন্ত বাড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে আর দিনে তিনটে শো রাখা হয়েছে। যদিও শো টাইমিং গুলো একটু অদ্ভুত।

বাংলা সিনেমা উঠে দাঁড়াচ্ছে। মাস দুয়েক আগে টনিক কি দারুন হিট করলো। এখন মেদিনীপুর এর হলে 'কিশমিস' চললো। এবার 'বেলাশুরু' নিয়ে এলো। খড়গপুরের মতো নন-বেঙ্গলী বেসড জায়গাতে বহুদিন পর দেখলাম দুটো বাংলা ছবি দেখানো হতে চলেছে। "অপরাজিত" এবং "বেলাশুরু" একসাথে দুটো সিনেমা। Bombay cineplex এ দুটো বাংলা সিনেমা। ভাবা যায় না। বাংলা সিনেমা আরও জমে যাক। দারুন লাগছে। দেখবোই দুটো সিনেমা।

Just to give some information on the box office performance in NCR. There are 3 shows. One each in Delhi, NOIDA& Gurugram. During the weekend (Sat & Sun) all 6 shows of Aporajito was full. And the show timings are not so good. 1.45 pm, 8pm & 8.30pm. Tickets upwards of ₹250. All in all doing well . We are grateful to them who have made it possible for the movie to be screened here. Going to watch today & it’s fast filling up today as well.
