As Arizona fans we've suffered some 1st round exits in the past, I can excuse those to bad shooting performances. What I witnessed today is inexcusable, this team looked like they didn't want to be on the floor, it was hard to watch.

I agree. This team has not protected the ball all season....all season. The Pac 12 was horrible this season and to have 6 losses was not very good. Way too many passes are tipped every game and the needless turnovers all the time . Kriisa has turned the ball over all season and I don't think Coach has put a priority on protecting the ball. The thought is to outscore and everything is ok. It was so obvious of how loose we were all season. Houston exposed us last year and we did nothing to get better. No good team in the country gets stripped of the ball than us. It's crazy how they are not stronger with the ball. I went to U of A and watched every game for 40 years and this outcome was predictable with how loose with the ball all season. It wasn't the refs tonight Coach. Princeton didn't really even play well today. Very weak today guys

That happens when they feel that the refs won’t call the game correctly. I won’t point towards stats. Princeton capitalized on how the game was being called. Honestly I’m going on only what happened in the first half. That may have been the worst first half officiating wise we have EVER seen. But it is what it is and we should and could have still won this game. We often complain about Pac officiating and then come into the tournament and rightfully so in a lot of cases. This was beyond what I have ever seen. Pull out of the NCAA any remaining west coat teams now and start your own tournament. This is a totally political and money grabbing system that you will NEVER be able to overcome. PERIOD!

Its disgusting to see the refs time and time again control the outcome of the game against Arizona. The flow of the game is dictated by those scumbags. 6 out of the 7 losses Arizona suffered should’ve been wins. Only legit loss Arizona suffered was to Standford because it was officiated correctly and eventhough Arizona shot the lights out, Standford shot even better. These referees are compromised.

Watched this team all season and what I learn is that this coach is stubborn and won't make adjustments. I commend him for coming from Gonzaga with a plan that works 80% of the time but when the game starts to tilt downwards it’s still just full steam ahead. Go back to the last 3 losses and you’ll see (ASU, UCLA, and Princeton). When your player is injured/bleeding and can’t shoot you keep him in. When your team suddenly can’t drive to the basket you keep sending them in. When they’re getting blocked and stolen from in the paint you keep sending them in. When other players are statistically shooting better in that game you keep them on the bench. When a player hasn’t made one shot for 99% of the game you keep them in. When the high low isn’t working you keep… you get my point. There’s no creativity or flexibility. Don’t get me started with adjusting to full court press and zone defense. If you see dog poop flying towards your head then try to duck. Adjust. Don’t be stubborn and take it in the face. It’s either plan A or get defeated. Large leads are being eliminated because the other team made adjustments but you’re still pushing plan A. Some of these games didn’t need to be so close. But I digress. I guess it could have been worst. Could have been a 1 seed and lost to a 16 seed.

You nailed it. Tommy's lack of head coaching experience, tactical in game adjustments, refusal all yr to develop a bench, shrugging off poor FT shooting etc. Why Kriisa played 36 min & Boswell 13 is ludicrous. Tommy's end of game mngmt/decision making in ASU loss was 2nd grade level. Great guy, but it remains to be seen how he learns from these losses. Recruiting & being a good practice coach/player development coach is only part of being great overall. So far he's missing the tactical part

Yesterday is another reason why I wanted to lose first round in the Pac 12 Tourney. We used up all our gas to win that stupid tourney. By the time the big dance happens less than a week later, we're gassed and the fact that we only play 7 players doesn't help. This loss isn't surprising. It's frustrating but it's not surprising. Our team is full of Euro players that expected to breeze through and get their calls like in McKale. Why we don't play more players is beyond me, it's asking too much from these kids, they're not in the NBA. And if you're gonna go with a small rotation, get rough edged players like Houston. Check out the Princeton possession that led to last foul shots...good passing leading to a defensive breakdown and a good pass to open man under the basket. Tommy Lloyd turned Arizona into a Mid Major. We look like Gonzaga these days because we have talent that is enough to win regular season games, but Tommy is like Mark Few 20 years ago when Gonzaga could maybe win 1 tournament game then get sent packing. He is lucky to have had the talent he has had, but he is not an in-game coach. He's not a guy that can fire up and lead a team. He blames the players while he stands around arms folded. He blames the refs for not calling fouls when he has 2 7fters on the bench he refused to play and force the refs to blow those whistles. He shortened the rotation for no reason months ago and ran his horses into the ground. This will all continue to happen for many years as long as Tommy is "learning how to be a Head Coach on the job".

We've had some confusing losses this year to unranked teams, but we always gave Coach Lloyd benefit of the doubt. But this.....completely inexcusable and embarrassing. Sometimes I wonder what Tommy is thinking when he seems so nonchalant about a horrible loss on the national stage.

@@yazanimates6949 We don't care about the Pac 12 Tourney lol We want Final 4s. Is Tommy Lloyd about to be a Sean Miller 2.0 where we consider winning the Pac12 a success? I'm sick of this type of thinking, it's why we haven't been back to the final 4 since 2001.

The game plan did not work, and they kept going to it. They were being beat on the boards and inside scoring. Ballo and Azuolus did what they could, but the plan was not working. That is a coach mistake. The guards were not looking to score with the exception of Boswell, and he was not in the game long. They ended up looking lost. Horrible loss! Boswell will need help next year. Azuolus will be gone. Hope Ballo will stay another year. They have some size and good recruits coming in, but they need another consistent aggressive guard who can create his own shots. Krissa can come off the bench to give Boswell some rest.

Couldn’t agree more. Couldn’t believe they kept force feeding inside when they weren’t getting calls and Princeton was doubling Ballo. They were daring Zu to take a free 12 footer and he wouldn’t take it. Ballo had a hard time passing out of it with his hand. But they just kept doing it until the end. By then Ramey, Kerr, Henderson had no rhythm.

What makes you think Tubelis won't be there? Tubelis can't shoot even from 12 feet. He has no place in the NBA. Where will he go? To the Euro C League? Expect the same trash 🗑 next year except Boswell, Dylan Anderson and Adam Bal seem like they would transfer before being treated like they were this season forced to sit and watch a pathetic effort when they could have stepped in and tried to spark something. Tommy is just a terrible in-game coach. Keeps his arms folded and won't make an adjustment. Not to mention he is already recruiting new transfers because he missed on every top recruit he went for.

Come on, coach Lloyd. I like you, but the reality is that the game plan did not work, and you did not make any changes. I have no idea why the guards were not trying to shoot the ball and score other than you directed them to focus on getting the ball inside. When the team is at its best, it is running and shooting fast. Inside or out. The guards were never given a chance to get into rhythm. The bottom line is you were outcoached, and the players were outplayed. If the team happens to make the tournament next year, I hope you have the team ready to play and prepared to make adjustments. I am very disappointed with a first round exit to a 15 seed. I assure you, Princeton will lose by double digits to whoever they play on the next round.
