I differ a little on that in that we're not forced to but we choose to succumb to the social pressure which has the same end result but is different in a very important way and it's the ownership Factor nobody makes you do the things you do you choose to do them to be accepted by The Herd and that's normal but not necessarily healthy in a lot of cases. Similar to victimhood status which isn't a very empowering position because if all of your problems are someone else's fault you're screwed and more or less powerless to do anything about it because you only have authority over one yourself you can't change others but I think most of the time people don't like to accept the responsibility of their life being completely in their own hands and if they fail it's on them it's just easier to point elsewhere and say they made me fail but I've noticed it's kind of hard not to sometimes that said I'm a stubborn son of a b**** when I want to be and the easiest way to get me to do something is tell me I can't as the only limitations that really hold me back in life are the ones I placed on myself

The States Constitution should be big and the federal government should be small so that they reflect the relative size of how they were intended to operate. It's a constitutional republic of independent confederated States who by design were intended to operate autonomously and with sovereignty. This inhibits the consolidation of power through political overreach and keeps the control in the hands of the people right where it should be and through its widespread dispersal minimizes corruption (minimal power equals minimal corruption) and it also rightly imposes on the individual to be responsible as is always best.

The federal government has no sovereignty...only delegated powers as written in the constitution. Article VII. The Ratification of the Conventions of nine States, shall be sufficiant for the Establishment of the Constitution between the States so ratifying the Same. It is clear the States are Supreme, Sovereign, the Daddy that gave delegated power to enhance the common good and defense. The dirty secret is that the States can eliminate the entire central government and reform new compacts or fly solo.

“Shall not infringe” refers to not removing,altering, or deflecting from the original intent of the constitution that being in the best interest of the person(s) the people. Even with out Jefferson the founding fathers knew that the people in mass wouldn’t be able to understand big picture or would be to self indulgent and selfish or as u just explained with police forcing themselves into homes vicariously or forcing false confessions those both are examples to include illegal seizures or just the working class being to enveloped in the day to day monotony to fully be able maneuver the system or understand it. In a just Society Police would PROTECT the rights of a Person which in Turn protects that Person and leads to Direct deescalation which could then provide said Cilvil servant or officer a moment to teach proper law and why it protects said person police are far removed from this even tho they are what most would consider integral to peace I personally only view them as a component towards seeing as how they have not been acting under the constitution as peace keepers in the best interest of the people.

The 2A is extremely clear. The first part is the REASON for the second part. When you consider that the militia in the first part is made up of the people of the second part, you understand that all gun regulations are unconstitutional. “Well regulated” at the time meant, in good working order. You cannot create a militia from a bunch of unarmed citizens. And no, militias were not made of the National Guard. That wasn’t formed till the 1900’s

Exactly. The first part is all about the security of the state. The only reason people should have guns is so that the state can form them into a militia to defend the security of the state.
@nickl7812 жыл бұрын
It has nothing to do with the state forming them into a militia. Every citizen is the militia. That's why it says the peoples right to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Every reference to the phrase "the people" in the constitution, or any other founding document, refers to every citizen, same as this reference does. It is not talking about specific groups. Every citizen is the militia, that's why the government has no right to infringe on the right to own firearms. The well regulated part of the constitution is not talking about regulating firearms or the type of firearms people can have. Since the people are the militia, the well regulated part is another way of saying a well disciplined or well functioning people. A people proficient with the use of firearms. The purpose of every citizen owing firearms and knowing how to use them, is so we can be ready at a moments notice, to defend ourselves against all attackers, whether they be foreign or, as we have today, a tyrannical government here at home.

"I'm from California" explains why he took GREAT liberty in defining the Constitution under his personal "interpretation". Voting was for "white, male and property owners". In 1777 Vermont in their Constitution baned slavery out right and at the same time gave voting rights to all Black men. Prior to the end of the Civil War 5 States allowed Black men voting rights. The 3/5 clause countered the higher populated States of the south "for purpose of representation" enslaved people only counted as 3/5. So States like Vermont and Pennsylvania after 1789 all free Black men counted as one. Fredrick Douglas addresses those who go outside the words of The Constitution to define it in his 1860 speech given in Glasgow Scottland.

The 2nd amendment is pretty fucking clear. The right of the people to keep and bear arms is not overruled by the prefitory clause that a militia is necessary to protect a state. It was written that way so that every day people, being armed already, can be quickly gathered to form a militia. This was because, even though the war of independence was won, there were still British forces on our soil, as well as other foreign powers who could exert their will by force, namely France and Spain. It's also because our forefathers were still debating whether or not to have and keep a standing Army. Many were even opposed to the idea. Which is why we came up with the draft.

The integrity of our democracy is at risk as long as our nation waits until students are in 11th grade to teach government instead of introducing it on a gradient along with math, reading, and science. A child can learn how their hometown develops along with ABC and 123. And why wouldn’t we start as early as possible to teach this when it is practically the ground we walk on, the quality of life we determine, and shapes the decisions we make as adults. Understanding the structure of the government system is what prepares our children for adulthood and living on their own. Early courses begin with City Works and by 11th and 12th grade they study Our Nation and relativity to other countries, Every state in America needs to change the educational curriculum by introducing lessons in government as a mandatory course every semester, every year just like math, reading, and science. Lately, I often hear politicians and reporting media speak of protecting our "sacred" democracy, but when this country (and seems purposely) omits building block lessons from mandatory education that span over 13 years of the fundamental development of “we the people”, logic would dictate to seriously consider the root cause for the threat to our democracy is the omission of useful knowledge in government. Constituents need to be able to participate beyond casting a vote or understand enough to recognize misinformation. It should be the structure under which we live, not the system that we live under. Right now here misinformation intensifies feelings of hopelessness in the absence of knowledge of government structure. Seems to be a noticeable trend that the sons and daughters of congressmen are filling seats in the White House. Why?. They grow up with it. Quite a contrast to what the common student is exposed to. Nepotism will breed only contempt for the "masses" and vice versa. For the record kids groan at the idea of any mandatory course they receive, I expect the lessons in government will receive the same from a kid, however, I can't help but believe most will like it for the satisfaction it brings to answering the question, "WHY?" I challenge every mayor of every city, every governor of every state, and every congressman that has a seat in the White House”, if Democracy is so important, start cultivating constituents that can recognize disinformation and will grow to have the same opportunity as your children who are exposed to it every day. It’s not the swamp that needs to be drained, it’s the gene pool that needs to be expanded. Let us in by revamping the educational curriculum K through 12.

And the second amendment is in fact pretty clear. The bill of rights were for the protection of the people's rights. It is idiotic to suggest that it is not pretty clear what the interpretation is, especially considering the history of weapons in the United States and the purpose of said bill of rights. Also, if you read the constitution, it is pretty clear of whom it is talking about. It directs specific branches and persons it is talking to. In article 1, it specifically calls for the senate or House respectively, as it calls for the president in article 2. The bill of rights is meant for the people, so when the second amendment days "the right of the people, it literally means the people. It is not meant to be rocket science. The second amendment is not "clearer" because the founders did not think it was necessary to be any clearer, as they just fought off an increasingly tyrannical government, they had no interest in a standing army. That argument has no legal basis. It needs to die.

The “Amendment” Re the election of the two senators only authorized a “replacement” to complete the duration of the rest of that term, NOT a brand new term; otherwise, the Constitution’s pattern designed to avoid election of 2 “novice” state Senators at the exact same time would be violated (like what happening Georgia 2020 election: a violation of the Constitution’s Article 1). Also, Amendment allows the Governor’s appointment to exist only a few days ... until the State Legislature can quickly convene and elect the Senator replacement to complete the rest of the vacated Senator’s term. The people then elect a Senator at the end of the normal time scheduled for them to do so (as per the pattern in Article 1) so as to not mess up the “flow” of the Senate seat election pattern.
