I live 18 mins away from Chase Field. I have been there a lot, and I just love it. Probably my favorite part of it, is the pool. Never been there, but as of right now, Chase Field is the only MLB stadium that has one. Also, they dont open it that much either, because the roof has a big issue, and they dont want to open it when fans are inside

They don't need to replace this stadium. They need to start broadcasting the games locally and quit trying to squeeze every penny from subscribers to cable. That way people can follow the team and care about them.
@SunshineCarpetCleaning4 ай бұрын
Absolutely, I'm in complete accord. Their greed has noticeably increased of late. Moreover, they've ceased accepting cash within the stadium. All payments, including those to the hotdog sellers roaming the stands, must now be made exclusively via credit card. It seems as though they're intent on monitoring every single cent we spend.

I live 30 mins away from Chase Field and i go there very frequently. I love the ballpark, however the upper deck is unbelievably atrocious. Many people have said this, but I never believed them until i personally got a ticket to an upper deck seat 35 rows up, and while it may not sound like a lot, once you get to your seat you start thinking twice about whether or not you should make the trip all the way back down for food and drinks. I feel like Chase Field has one of, if not THE worst upper deck in MLB, but other than that, the entire Stadium both inside and outside is very beautiful and is always an amazing experience. Also, the Roof has its own website that people can go check before a game to see whether or not it will be open.
@StadiumsoftheWorld10 Жыл бұрын
From am architectural appearance the upper deck is not terrible, but as a fan it is rough. I was up in the upper deck at the 49ers stadium and it is very high up. Thank you for pointing out there is a website for the roof to check.

So I assume it would have been cheaper to just build a park with a fixed roof to begin with. Do they open it in the offeason or anything? I guess they don't need to if they have field turf now. I was at Texas last summer and didn't even realize it was field turf, so whatever turf they use now is very realistic.

No it’s not. The Astrodome, the old Metrodome and Minute Maid Park didn’t and don’t have that feel or look. This, in my 50 years and almost 20 ballparks visited is by far the worst. They open the windows and sometimes the roof, early in the AM, in the summer months…and close it before cranking the AC during the day. Also, they’re only open during a game in cooler months. I used to work near there and everytime I’d drive in around 6am, the windows would be wide open

Talking about air conditioners, there's a special kind used for big buildings that need a lot of air to move around. If you look at the big cooling units on the side of the stadium, near where you park your car, you'll notice they're huge-almost like buildings themselves. They're really something to see, and it takes a whole crew working all the time to keep them running properly.
