Typical Freeland. He has completely regressed from his first year. He basically is throwing BP for hitters now.

Well, we only have to do that 161 more times That being said, Freeland was too reliant on his fastball. 32 of 49 pitches were fastballs, and they caught too much of the plate. That 4 seamer needs to be at the top of the zone to differentiate it from the 2 seamer

This! Is what drives me crazy about Bud Black! Freeland is getting clobbered and who does he bring in? Molina???? This kid has NEVER pitched above AA ball and Black throws him into the fire? Way to build the kids confidence! Very poorly managed game by Black. Our pitching staff is going to suffer severely if Black continues this trend! Lambert should have relieved Freeland NOT Molina.....it's going to be a LONG season
