I just thought Fisch was a guy that would have stayed here for many years building upon what he built!!! Top 25, college playoffs, every year!! In the end it's that MONEY!! MONEY!! $$ does mean something.

I just don't understand why the University of Arizona is sot hot and heavy on this coach! There are so many other better coaches out there with quality programs and they hire this guy because of his relationship with Dick Tomey 24 years ago.
@ZachRodriguez4810 ай бұрын
I know Nansen would have been a great hire too as well but we could only afford him especially with all the money the university has now because of the crisis that's going on But you know I've got hopes that he'll keep the remaining staff and players on the team here including bringing back Akina (who was also on apart of Dick Tomey's staff) and could bring Nansen along with him too
@ralphlopez128810 ай бұрын
I get it he is a U of A guy, but man it was like he had no real answers for any of those questions he was asked. It was like every question was, "a really big question" for him. I think this dude is way in over his head. I think Nansen would've been the better choice, but hey wat do I know I'm just a fan 🤷♂️ I hope he can prove me wrong.

It's ok he's an asu fan. Only hope they have is for others to fail because they can't build success. Fact is Arizona would still be better if we lost 1/2 our team. And that won't happen. So sorry bud. Maybe focus on the terrible roster and staff you guys have vs trying to insult a school that killed just a few months ago. Oh and I missed your bowl game... Did you guys win?

Just goes to show you, loyalty is a rare commodity in the sports world. Fish jumped ship and was probably waiting for an opportunity to do so, even before the Washington job opened up. He's got some huge shoes to fill, because now he's not starting with a rebuild program. I wouldn't be surprised if the expectations expected, cause a crash and burn scenario. I'm not hoping this happens... oh wait !!... Yes I am, crash and burn Jeb !!! As for the new coach, I'm hoping for the best, but this will probably be the beginning of the same Ole same Ole. Players will be jumping ship, recruits will change their minds and the transfer portal will be wide open as an easy escape. This will be the perfect storm for major disappointment. It was nice while it lasted... kinda like the basketball team, they looked like a world beater in the beginning until the zone defense started showing the Achilles Heel of the team. Any how, I'm glad I don't live or die with every win or lost with my teams. It's just entertainment and I have a life aside from sports.

I'm sorry, good luck but, this guy has absolutely no excitement in his voice. He's not fired up. He's as dull as they come
@Kneel3010 ай бұрын
? Did you... did you watch the video? He smiled the whole time, also this is a press conference, he's not on the football field. What do you want him to do, scream and yell about how excited he is? He spoke at length about the impact Tomey had on him, his brother played here, he said multiple times how much him and his wife enjoyed living in Tucson. This dude is going to be in Tucson for as long as he is successful. He is extremely excited and honored to be the head football coach at the University of Arizona.
