@@VX1_l" Should've gone" and not "went" would be the proper way to state it. As a teacher (which you are) and a football coach, I expect your winning percentage is 100%! Just think of the great Bo Schembechler (from Barberton,Ohio). He never won a national championship in 21 years at Michigan, was 2 - 8 in the Rose Bowl and 5 - 13 in bowl games. One morning he asked his wife Millie for some cereal. She brought him a bowl and he lost it. (cymbals) I believe Urban Meyer won two national championships at Florida and one at Ohio State. Since 1948, Michigan has won 2.5 national championships over a 75 year period. Urban won three in a 13 year period. Don't argue with me, son. I've been following college football closely since 1961. Bo Schembechler was the defensive coordinator that year at Ohio State and Gary Moeller was a linebacker on that team. My daddy and I were in Ann Arbor that year and OSU defeated Michigan 50 - 20. Been saying the same thing about the OC all year! It's been very apparent, since the first couple of weeks. The problem is the whole coaching staff really needs to be looked at being replaced. Been so many problems this year that come down to coaching. To put a rookie head coach in the driver seat almost never works, especially in top tier programs. There are going to be a lot of growing pains with that to start. You really have to put veteran high level coaches behind him for them to catch some of those growing pains.

I still think it’s a hard sell to get a top flight QB to come here. Without an absolutely compelling case that we are going to completely rehaul the offense to center around a player like Bryce Underwood why would they come here right now? Especially when LSU just had two QB’s win the Heisman in the last five years. Maybe you can argue you are bringing in new skill players and you still have the mystique of having the best OLine for three straight years with plenty of talent at that position coming in but idk even with that 10 mill NIL offer
@AngryOtter614Ай бұрын
So how do you feel about Curt Campbell?
@antoniomalave6093Ай бұрын
Kirk Campbell's performance as an offensive coordinator has raised significant concerns. It seems he struggles to create effective plays, and his ability to find open receivers appears limited. I believe that Bryce Underwood may be hesitant to join the team while Kirk is in this role. I feel that there is a disconnect when it comes to offensive strategy; it seems like there may be gaps in game planning and film analysis that need to be addressed. Understanding our team's strengths and weaknesses is crucial, and it's unfortunate that inadequate planning can lead to subpar performance. I don't hold the players responsible for this; it's essential for the coaching staff to be aware of these aspects. I also feel that Sherron, as the head coach, has the ultimate responsibility for these decisions. I strongly believe it might be time to consider changes in the coaching staff, particularly regarding Kirk Campbell.

I was one of the 15% that said yes to the poll. Campbell needs to be fired immediately AFTER the OSU game. Thinking that firing him last Sunday and bringing in an underling to be OC with 2 games to go is going to be any better is equivalent to the people who thought bringing in Jack Tuttle would solve the QB problem. They’re not going to find anyone worth a damn in the middle of November. If Campbell is the best that they’ve got, just think how dreadful the dude below him will be. The QB musical chairs debacle along with this entire season have been embarrassing enough. All we need is more futility with a new OC in training. If they plan on keeping Moore for another year, making a change with two games to go and then having that person also suck just makes him look even worse. Just stay the course and fire Campbell on Dec 1st.

Honestly I don’t see a scheme problem for Michigan’s offense. Their offensive line is bad and their QB wouldn’t be able to start for a good D2 program. The best OC and playcaller in the country could not make this offense better than just below average
@datwolverineАй бұрын
Completely disagree. We’ve had far worse talent at both the qb position and oline and have looked better. The play calling is atrocious
@dustinschalk8825Ай бұрын
With all due respect … you are blind ! lol. Kirk has had some moments . But the play calling has been Aweful , frequently . And that’s just playcalling . It’s the OC who’s supposed to identify problematic areas and work with the position coaches to improve . Whether it’s holding the line accountable , reach wrs the get open , etc etc . Or simply being able to make sure the best players play , and are used to their strengths . The players are certainly accountable too . But it starts at the top . Too many problems in too many areas to not blame the head hauncho

"Worst red zone play-calling I have ever seen." This dude didn't see Penn State run the same busted-ass play three times from the two yard line two weeks ago.

Say what you want about the coaches, much of it justified for sure, but it seemed like many plays were there to be made by the QB but he just missed wide open passes. He played much better against Oregon than he did last week.

We so need to get a new OC, and if Wink doesn’t start out better in the first half of the next two games maybe we look at replacing him too!

We should have called Iowa States head coach and requested that he kept Sherron’s on his staff to develop him!

No,no, keep the staff the way it is. Give them another couple years to get things together. 🤔

Copy and Roger That; "Brian Grise should be considered as O-C and Larry Foote as D-C." And guess what, @OU, it appears they have enough of our boy Joe Castiglione. Let's see what C-Moore is going to do in this off-season? Michigan Steve is finally getting into NIL; hopefully, they're giving all the pieces for next year's successful season with a young team. We are about to go from the bottom of the heap in this upcoming recruiting class if we get Bryce Underwood, and hopefully, the recruiting floodgates will open, and all will come. Up to 5-10 recruiting the 2025 class.? I know a lot of question marks. Also, if the situation with Moore does'nt change, how about scooping up the ominous coach of this year, "Curt Cignitti,' as the next coach @UM. Before a power-ten gets-em. Always, Steve GOBLUE-NATTYUP🏆!

It blows my mind that they refuse to at least TRY to throw a deep ball. I get they aren’t great at it ..but you HAVE to at least TRY!!! Defense has to know that you will at least attempt to take advantage of the stuff the defense is giving you . And who knows ..you just throw it up a couple times when you see man zero …someone like Loveland or Morris might just be run underneath it . Even an unsuccessful pass still gets into their heads to watch for it . I mean This is basic stuff they are blowing off
@a2petАй бұрын
Throwing a deep ball when a reciiever is not open is a great recipe for a pick. The receivers never get separation. You are totally clueless
@dustinschalk8825Ай бұрын
@ alright genius ..look up some football stuff . You gotta switch things up and try it out . I’m not saying throw it into triple coverage . But Michigan is constantly facing loaded boxes and get receivers in man coverage 1 on 1. That’s a relatively safe time to throw a deep ball. Literally EVERY professional announcer talks about how sometimes a qb has to “throw it up and let your wr try and make a play, to keep the defense honest.” What Michigan is doing now is not working ….so if switching it up and trying different things, things that they even encourage in the NFL, is clueless….well than you can keep your clue, mr random-internet-stranger-who-thinks-they-know-everything-and-likes-to-insult-ppl-online-for-no-reason-to-make-himself-feel-better
@a2petКүн бұрын
@@dustinschalk8825 you seem very invested in my answer. You are equally as clueless - when receivers get zero separation, you do not throw to then “just to change things up”. Non of the receivers are big or have ball skills other than Loveland. The qbs are not accurate or talented enough to make those throws. Did your daddy criticize you a lot growing up? Yes, I am a genius, and you’re embarrassing yourself.

@@dustinschalk8825 since you seem a bit obtuse - it’s a talent issue, not a scheme issue. You also project a lot and are very lacking in self awareness.

Michigan has to replace Campbell and wouldn't be mad if they raid the Ravens or chargers and get a younger DC prospect who can still implement the Revens style Defense.
