I have a similar set up as you based on a pick-up with a camper shell and a rail for my motorcycle. I've been typically camping with groups but starting to do more solo stuff as my friends don't want to camp as much as I. Your stories are inspirational as you do a lot of them solo and juggle it with a relationship. Looks like that will be my path going forward as my wife doesn't share my wanderlust and I'm retiring soon. I've got trips planned with both my truck/camper and KTM500 as well as on my Africa Twin.... Looking forward to it and appreciate your content... The southwest is on the agenda, and maybe even Bisbee.... Take care...

Hi Sterling, this is brilliant. Touched that you do these things with us as your motivation, UK in our third lockdown hopefully there won't be a 4th. Everyone in the UK hasn't seen their extended family since Christmas eve lockdown three began.... I took your advice & have a 12kg box of all my camping kit ready to go under the stairs. Gas canisters [not petrol, Butane gas] and all..... So your videos give me hope thanks,

Sterling, loving watching these desert video's while we sit up here in chilly Canada. When you are shooting the campsite food prep and cooking scenes what is the set up you are using? I'm loving the quality of what you are producing on your channel. Also the Adventure 65 series a huge bonus to the community. Big Thanks...

@@SterlingNoren Yes, sorry for by broad question. I'm a Van owner (which I have travelled in quite a bit. I'm also the new owner of an 890R Adventure and I'm starting to take pictures and experimenting with video. I grew up with a darkroom in my house but fell away from the art as I moved through life raising a family and building a business. As I now wind those things down I'm starting to have time for adventure. I'm working on building a light as possible photo video kit. I want to start documenting my travels so trying to stay minimal as possible. Here is what I'm thinking. Go-pro or two, Mirrorless camera, two lens, and a drone. I also bought a DJI Pocket 2 which I have been using and enjoying. It's a nice easy to use tool that fits in the jacket so easy access for those surprise moments. I'm now at the point that I want to pull the trigger on a camera and lens and when I watched your cooking shots I loved the look and feel so I was wondering what camera and lens you were shooting those with? What's your idea of a minimalist kit for moto adventure? Thanks in advance and I hope to make it to your hotel one day.

Love your adventures Sterling. You sure lead an interesting life. I have a question, if you don't mind. Does your drone have some sort of homing device on it, in order to follow like it does. Interestingly, it seems to follow at times and other times head toward you, and yet , you are busy driving, or cooking, or whatever. How does that thing work?
@SterlingNoren3 жыл бұрын
No homing device on the drone. It does have a visual tracking system that works for some of the closer shots. The rest is simple manual mode flying!

“Air down my tires,” why reduce air pressure in your tires?
@verbalwidget09193 жыл бұрын
Better traction, due to a wider footprint on the tires and the tires will conform better to the uneven surface giving better traction. Works on 2 wheels or 4 .
@michaelc.38123 жыл бұрын
Bumpy dirt roads are far easier with lower air pressure, for cars, vans, trucks or bikes. Of course you must slow down, so this makes it gentler on both people and vehicle with the softer tires. Must remember to raise the pressure on pavement as higher speeds require!
