That's awesome, I started watching the video, and told my wife, gee that looks like Linx creek, a couple of years ago we spent a couple of days there ,while I was panning down by the creek Elvira was sitting in camp reading a book, and a herd of wild pigs ran through camp, knocked over the barbecue, she screamed and I came a running but they were gone as fast as they came, it's a fun place in July, awful cold in winter.

@@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK rose creek had some nice looking spots too. I was so sick the day I went down there though. The first year I crossed the country for the first time ever I was allergic to plant life and it started at the petrified forest and by the time I hit Prescott it was crazy bad. That's ultimately why I had to leave after only 3 days. Some day I'll be back though alot has changed I think I mite be better off next round. Hope to meet up with you guys at some point to. ⛏-adam

I have panned several times at Lynx Creek (about 6 years ago) and found almost 1 gram (total). I went down the bumpy road to the federal public panning area (near the outhouse), went upstream towards the lake and crossed and went halfway up the small slope. The ranger said it was ok to pan from that side, so I did. I must have hit a spot everyone else missed as I found so much (about 3 feet underground). I filled the hole each time and returned to the same spot.

My best day was down at Bannie mine. I got about 3 grams(40grains actual) in 15 pans out of a tailings pile. I was in another world. The dirt was real weird too...never seen it since either...and it all ended just like that. I tried for days to get some of the same. Anyways...nice nugget !! Cant wait to do a road trip and get out there again.

Almost right around the corner from my house by about five or six miles maybe a little more. Yeah Lynx Creek is a quick shot for me if I want to just get a gold fix. And as you say a pan and a small shovel or scoop even is good enough. Just to get a few flakes. Not going to get rich that's for sure out of that Creek. But it is fun as a change-of-pace for metal detecting. Enjoyed the video.
