Russ Taff - I'm Not Alone

VHS (PAL) transfer from "Christian Marketing NZ Provid 5" - second generation VHS
Not great quality, but the other only other copies I have found here have either worse (low bitrate) audio, graphics on-screen or even worse tearing and head switching noise than this one did before cropping! If anyone can point me in the direction of an official video I'll take this one down.

The Silent Love album was my introduction to Russ Taff ...it got me through my lowest point in my life....at 15 I had a nervous breakdown...at 15 years of age.... God had mercy on me. I'm still listening in February 24, 2024 .... Praise God....

I do have to say, strategically & painstakingly working with a consumer-type VHS tape, formatted in European PAL & not the U.S. standard NTSC, is a daunting task. Most soundtracks however that were laid on these "promo videos", of that era, were 99.9% always done so in monaural. I can, if you're up to Dropboxing me the rawest video source you have available, I can either pull out my super clean vinyl version of the "MEDALS" LP, or just use the CD issue (both of which I still have in PRISTINE condition) then, I could time squeeze, by just milli-seconds (or time expand!) the audio track in STEREO, for this exceptionally, wonderful concept TAFF video, originally produced by WORD/Myrrh Music, Waco, TX in 1985. And you'll be able to re-lay in my new, fully uncompressed, PCM, 44.1k/16 bit .WAV audio file over the "azimuth & zenith compromised", VCR slighting tilted, rotating head, original soundstrip. (I can also use 48k, if that is the standard you prefer) Due to tape stretch & degeneration over the decades, it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE, just to pull in the CD audio track, lay it over the original analog video & EXPECT it to simply "stay-in-sync" the whole while, throughout the 4 or 5 minute cut; an almost always unsuccessful task, natural drift most DEFINITELY will occur. On my video uploads, time & sync correction was & still is, ultimately paramount, in ever-so-gently performing a new self-made "re-master". And believe me, I've seen some very, VERY horrific (un)synced jobs here on good ol' fashion You Tube, over the years.... I would be glad to help & offer service to you, in the audio department, If needed, good friend. BCRadio.
