About the release date, sucks but honestly not surprising at all. It’s Ark, let’s be real that was expected. As for the sabertooth, I honestly love it! I was hoping for it to get a bigger chance to shine for the sequel, and I’m seriously loving the more realistic look. The stocky build and bobbed tail is something I’d been wanting to see. I really love it and can’t wait to see it in action. So excited to see what creature gets revealed next, and what mammal. On the topic of American predators, I can’t wait to see what terror birds will look like in the sequel, if the saber has gotten such a glow up I can’t imagine what they could get.

I like it. All of the conversation around Ark 2 is seeming like they are drifting quite far away from the OG formula that everyone loves about Ark 1. They are already anticipating that they will most likely lose a bunch of players over all the changes. So in my opinion upgrading Ark 1 and continuing to develop it is honestly a smart choice for all of the players that aren't so keen to the changes they are making.

Perhaps it was naive of me but I had assumed the Unreal5 would just be part of the base game as like a free update, not a separate, paid for game. Not super thrilled about that, or there being a new DLC that is only for ascended. That being said, 50 bucks for both sounds like a pretty good deal as I was 100% planning on getting Ark 2 anyways.

I am a little disappointed in the delay, but it was expected. The UE5 being a separate likely paid game is unfortunate as well, but at least console will finally get mods which is nice, although the premium mods does worry me a little. As long as the mods aren’t as pricey as the mods found on the Minecraft store on console it should be alright I hope.

So, unless i'm reading this wrong, not only are we going to have to pay full price AGAIN for ark ascended which as i understand is just a graphical upgrade, but we also have to get it on a new gen console. And if you dont have a new gen console then you can't play it This wouldnt even be so bad but (again if i'm understanding this right) the original ark servers will be going down and replaced with ark ascended servers. So everyone who hasnt forked out for a new console yet, but wants to play ark ascended, They have to pay full price for the same game again, a new xbox series S/X or PC, and all of the DLCs plus the new one they're releasing, AND ark 2 if they want to play ark 2? This feels like such a greedy move that screws over old gen players as well as anyone who already had Ark 1 and all of its DLCs. I'm still very excited about ARK 2 and the direction its going, but this feels so scummy

I'm not even a Playstation player and I'm annoyed. Matter of fact, annoyed may be the understatement of the year. Devoted fans who have played and loved ARK for YEARS have been left out to dry as official servers shut down and content is added to Ascended instead. I can maybe understand why they'd do away with "free for existing players" but not even a discount? Fans of this game need to pay FULL PRICE to continue experiencing it fully along with new content. I think this move was definitely done to keep the interest of players who may not be interested in ARK II, but I believe all they've done is further alienate their fanbase. That's not even accounting for how the game itself will run. People often say ARK is buggy (and it certainly can be) but how can we know due diligence will be done to squash any bugs that may come with putting this game into a new engine? Honestly, I could go on about all the things being done and why so many of them completely disgust me, but I believe I've already said enough.

@suzukisixk7 Perhaps, but for me, this is a fine deal. I haven't played ark in years because the performance is horrible. I never played PvP so I'm not concerned with wipes or anything, plus I have plenty of friends across different platforms, so playing via cross-play will offer a different experience. It seems that Wildcard screwed its playerbase that plays regularly, but this is perfect for people like myself and my friends. Like I said earlier, it all hinges on performance. If the game runs like crap, I won't even look in its direction.
