Version 36.4: Dragon will not receive Alpha buff. Cooked meat can be used instead of medical brew to switch between Battle Tar's lost health buff and Stew's restored health buff. When you've used enduro twice in a short period of time, you can switch buffs just by eating something, not necessarily with raw meat. Simply put, when you have multiple buffs, anything you eat will cause Battle Tar and enduro buffs to switch back and forth. Raw meat and cooked meat is just one way.

Make sure that the buff icon is Battle tar and make sure the built-in buff you have is enduro's restored health buff, not Battle Tar's lost health buff.

Dragon can be beaten with med brew and Enduro combo only as well. 14min fight and 2 med brews and 2 Enduro used with 560melee character and 294dmg sword.(what I used)

Generaly i play ark:survival evolved long time. I know for solo kill spider, monkey, manticore, rockwell- aberration. but never i saw no dino alpha island dragon tactic. Very nice, good work

Hang on, let me get this straight... If there is an Alpha currently on the map, rendered within 1385 meters of the obelisk the boss fight was summoned at, the boss will have the Alpha buff during the fight? I don't think I've ever heard of this before, is this documented anywhere else???

1. Distance is not determined by the obelisk, it's the boss. The Dragon boss room is below the swamp on the right side of the map. 2.This phenomenon may not have been recorded before, I have not seen it.

Other bosses can also receive Alpha buff, but the other bosses don't have the same range as the Dragon, and the other bosses' rooms are far from the ground, so they will not receive Alpha buff. Note that the final boss turned Dragon can also receive Alpha buff, but I didn't test how far he corresponded to the map.

@@christiannieves9823so basically whenever you take tartar, it cancels out all the other soups except beer. Since your fortitude is so low you will die to heat wave. In order to make it work, take tartar > once your health is low cancel is out with enduro stew. focal chilli (for speed), chillian or green soup (to protect from heat waves), antitode for beer after affects.

1. Killing Alpha dino is not recommended because they continue to spawn, bad luck still gives dragon an Alpha buff. 2. Alpha dino will definitely not be rendered in the Dragon room, the player's field of view is not as large, can be fight when the number of online players is low, which does effectively prevent Alpha buff. But even if the dragon has an Alpha buff all the way through, single-player combat time is enough, just need Battle Tar and beer to increase melee damage.

Only go for water alphas such as Mosas and tusos easily 100k xp per kill (but usually more) and of course clean up any alpha megalodons and leeds but the xp is minimal in comparison

Alpha mosas, Alpha tusos and Alpha megalodons (Amegas are only good up to level 3, after that I wouldn't even waste time killing them) level up chibi super fast. Get a high level tuso, ideally 800 mellee+ and 30k hp, that should be enough for alphas. Make sure u breed those stats into other tusos before u try to kill the alphas, as it is super easy to get stuck on mantas, eels, megalodons if it's your first time, and lose your tuso and even worse, your chibi. Also imprint + good saddle is recommended. If you are new, get in the habit of killing all the wilds around the alphas before trying to fight the alpha. Also get the black pearls from the Amosa (100black pearls) and Atuso(75 black pearls) bags as a bonus. This is how I get my chibi to level 6 in under 1 week on 1x official.

Tryed it on server where i play its 160-200 ping, with success 2 of 3 landings, its a bit painfull train these not on singleplayer :((

Even if the server is running smoothly and the dragon's AI is normal, you can easily run to his feet, you just need to jump up to reduce the repelling caused by the dragon's bite, and Battle Tar adds a lot of movement speed.
