I really like this base it turned out well the dock area under the big central greenhouse building is the best bit I think :) I have built a section under the platform that should box the dock area off from the wild dinos and you can bring in water tames. I might make a quick video or just put some pics on discord. Also, the Bridges between the buildings are a bit fiddly to build as the ceilings do not quite meet so you have to play around a little to make it look good. i have a few questions first the different ocean platforms are both of them the same size or are they different. second are there build limits like how high you can go and how wide for both if they are different. And third are you able to connect multiple ocean platforms together for a bigger base.

I built this, Kinda! Our small Tribe has what we like to call a village. We avoid Metal box buildings. But now we need somewhere to put our Tek. I've used this awesome build on an ocean platform close to shore. It's not someone's base so it's not as ornate yet. I've made some changes but it is still instantly recognisable as this plan. The central green house is where I put the public Teleporter. There's a 4 foundation wide stair case that leads up to it from an equally wide ramp/road that goes all the way to land. The walkways to the towers are a little higher so I could use dino gates for the doors. The Crafting tower you have is a cracking idea. I haven't changed much there. I have internal stairs that go all the way to the roof without any ladders. I have a Tek Transmitter in one tower. We have water pens elsewhere so I have covered over the base. I might open it up again but we have ideas to use it as a Dino showroom for ones we want to sell or in time a Bar. I had some fun with the materials to make each tower different; Changing wood, stone and glass in key areas. The roofs are all vary too. Still now where near finished, but there's no rush. This is a great addition to our other communal buildings of a workshop and a hatchery. If anyone wants to stop by it's on EU PVE Official 895. 78-38 will get you to the village (those co-ords are actually just outside our workshop). Great build, I loved it so much I made it! great video! I followed the pattern and modified it for myself, one thing I hated about this build.. the triangle roof pieces, they are a nightmare to place and I would NEVER use them ever again, ARK kept putting them in 50 different places I did not intend.

Oh and another tip, the placements of the stone doorframes at the start of the builds exact location would be helpful. My base was not aligned correctly for some reason. Had to improvise the center outside wood wall around the greenhouse. Ig that's ark for you

Love, love, LOVE this build. But after 3 days of fighting with it, I lost my temper and broke the whole platform. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad on another server but it's too hard to build on Gen when you can't use a tek suit and you don't have admin fly.

Thank you for doing this. I tried to join four together in a square and was getting all kinds of problems snapping foundations if they were even barely clipping into each other. Hopefully, someone can figure out how to make that happen because then you could build a mega platform base.

I did try it you can line them up in a square and I figured a way of covering the gaps and building stairs and walls in the interior to bridge the gaps. The only reason I didn't do it for this build was the material cost and I need to work on the design for the walls

It was worth it we used the opportunity to circle and raid them without them knowing we convinced one of their own tribe mates to turn off turrets we raided them but lost our shop: we set it up as a mall for noobs to get started😅

Would love to see a vid on the water pen under the dock, and I was wondering what the specific colors u used to paint this build were and how u irrigated it/electrical wires.

The water pipes are run from the center, I placed a straight pipe on the greenhouse ceilings next to the catwalks and connected the intake pipe and it was the right height for it to be in the sea. Then I ran a straight pipe up into the greenhouse next to the stone double door frames that hold it up. From there I used the flexible pipe and cross section ones on the greenhouse floors. The paint is forest green, white and cantaloupe dye for the greenhouse sections. I used a Tek generator in the Tower and set it in 10 max radius and it covered the base, that was just to make my life easy :) If you don't have Tek you could use the bridge roofs to run your electric cable through to hide most of it. I am still playing with the boxed in dock you can only build a couple of walls deep hoping wildcard change it soon

Having trouble with the second set of greenhouse stairs (roughly 9:38) they aren't center like the first set.....anyone know why? They always snap too far into the roof platform, so they align with the top of the lower set of stairs instead of mid platform! I'm SO frustrated rn, I don't get why it's not exactly like the first set...I built everything EXACTLY the same as in the video 🧐😠

I can’t get pillars to snap to corners. I used to use the wall-center set ceiling-pillar technique but on the platform the pillar demolishes when I remove the ceiling/wall. Even when the pillar in into the “floor” and upper ceiling.

The are not snapping to the ceilings on the platform because the triangle ceilings throw off the alignment

That's really strange the whole platform is supported as if it is one big foundation. You should be able to build right over the open section, I will have a look around online and see if there is a problem or a workaround and get back to you

@@ThePilgrimzProject yeah i think i might have figured it out.. i just got the new and updated s+ and i was able to get rid of the vanilla engrams witch strangely included the 20x20 platform. so all i have is the 10x10 and i think my platform is 4 platforms put together lol and i just removed the inner sides to make it look like one whole piece. im gonna try and figure out how to get my vanilla engrams back and see if that works. thankfully i didnt get very far lol

It will not pick up but you do have to be careful if you are destroying anything like ceilings built directly on the platform and you don't click destroy platform by mistake :) I shot one with the demo gun in creative a few days ago

I hit the ''too high above platform'' limit at about 16 or 17 walls high on the tower, but you could always just make a flat roof. The tower is exactly 15 high from the platform before the roof goes on :)
