Very nice build....the only thing I would change is stairs instead of ladders up to the 2nd/3rd floors. Obviously that could result in the loss of space and possibly even affect the layout (it's a problem I often have to deal with myself), but overall I find it is much more convenient to run up some stairs than have to climb ladders to get up. Just my 2 cents. I love builds that are beautiful AND functional and you have definitely pulled that off here. Awesome that you get to build with that Aaron Longstaff group event, that should be amazing. Cheers.

No doubt, I fully agree about using stairs rather than ladders. That is probably the biggest thing I struggle with also. Trying to make things look the way I want them on the outside with making it functional on the inside. You could definitely fit stairs in this build in place of the ladders, it would just cut down on space. Thank you for the feedback! Can't wait to show everyone what comes from the event!

@@CHipZz I finished 😁 I'm very proud for what I did accomplish the only thing I couldn't do properly was the traingle roofs just because I don't have a way to reach up that high yet but I love it I also did the blacksmith and followed her live stream to see how she decorated 💜

Possibly, I am definitely trying to avoid using too many ladders. Use to do that all time instead of stairs.

Regrettably this video was done with unofficial settings. My most recent videos and moving forward I will be doing strictly official settings. I do plan on remaking some older builds with official settings also.

So I followed this step by step and some things seem to be off for some reason and I can’t figure out why. Also it wouldn’t let me put the stone stairs where you put the Dino doorway and the stone pillars at 13:40 for some reason I can’t put them in, it says there obstructed but I followed step by step 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey, so unfortunately I use to make my building tutorials using unofficial settings. Which is why if you are on official settings some things are obstructed.

For the pillars you would just have to place them first before the walls.

What do you mean when you say “switch foundations to block”?

Go up to a foundation and hold down the option button. It will let you change the appearance of the foundation.

Incredible! I don't know if I have lost my creativity. I have done some nice builds before but I struggle to do it these days and I was never this good. The way you think is crazy and I wish I could get like that. Is it just practice building over and over or do you just have some creativeness naturally that u can not learn? lol

Thank you so much for the kind words! I wouldn't say it's a natural thing by any means lol. I mainly just pull inspiration from houses I see on the internet and then combine different elements of them and do what I can with them in Ark.

@@CHipZz honestly, it's so impressive. It makes me want to get back on Ark and try but then also not because everytime I go on it now with the intention of "let's build perfect stuff" I just end up creating a massive mess of nothingness as my ideas go crazy and I build HUGE and then I never finish anything haha. I think next time I go on in build perfect mode I am going to start small and go from there. That aside though, some of the tricks you do...like WHAT made u ever think to do that lol. The way you did that archway and dino gate is amazing and I would of never thought to do that in a million years. Same with your double walls going up and down from the greenhouse window. Those little details man, really effective and I would just not even think to try lol. Sorry for the long comment. Subbed and liked. Hope u get way more views in future :) Keep it up. I won't type this much again, promise! haha

Haha no worries about the long comment. I love hearing from the viewers! You should see my solo games where I practice all my builds. The map is just covered in half finished monstrosities lol. As for the techniques some of them I just learned from messing around, others I picked up from fellow builders. I have a video showing off some building techniques if you want some ideas.

Awesome, hope you enjoy them. The rug is from I think the Aberration DLC. But you can enable it on your server or single player game using the .ini files I believe.
