After a long, excruciating, nearly 2 hours pure torture... We have done it. I had LOADS of issues with the 2nd raise and had to call my tribemate for backup... It turns out that there was too much of a gap between the ground and my wooden foundations. Once I switched to a different side that had my wooden foundations closer to the ground and some awkward finessing... It finally worked!!!! Everything went mostly perfectly after that. The ladders wouldn't allow us to get close enough to place the signs inside, but we just freehanded it, and it finally worked. Gave it a nice like medieval DIY feel. Absolutely loved it. (Thank you Empress for joining in on my torture to help me. I was losing my mind for a bit. ♡)
@Empress_of_Death2 жыл бұрын
We tried everyone else's ways of fixing it in the comments but it wasn't turning out. So we decided to try the other side of the foundations that were a bit sunken in closer to the ground (no pillar trick needed to sink the wooden foundations) and it just magically worked on that side. If you notice in Aaron's video the wooden foundations are a bit sunken in the ground. Really hope this helps! Building in Ark can be such a pain. But when it works somehow, the results are great! I hope everyone has a great Day/Night!

@volksdude19702 жыл бұрын
This is a great quick build! Do you have to have the fence foundations connected to a regular foundation to support the hatcheries? If not, I might try and make one of these on the ground somewhere on the server I'm on. I might even try and modify this a bit to try and make a "Moonshine Still" by placing a metal water reservoir on top of the fire, with a beer barrel placed next to it. I've had the idea in my head for a while, but didn't know how best to "float" anything above a campfire realistically. Water pipes can intersect campfires, right? It would be tricky to figure out the placement of the pipes to snap the reservoir and beer keg to without it being too noticeable, but once placed, you could use a flexible water pipe to make the top pipe connections to make it look real.

I have a suggestion for you. Building a base that's still aesthetic pleasing but not so much of a grind. You have large houses that you've built before but there a lot of extra room, make something that's still easy to build, pleasing to look at and practical with space. I myself is not to good with building. With almost every large house I see, it's just to big for a solo player on PvE.

Placing the fence foundations around the hatch frame just doesn't work that well for me. I only get 2 snap points, and its the inner most one that holds it up, but that causes the hatch frame to clip through the foundation and it doesn't look great. Make do I guess!
