Saw some trouble placing the gate. If you didn't know, gates will snap to fence foundations, which you can place on normal foundations or ceilings.

I did it lining up pillars from the bottom and got it pretty even, this looks great!

For anyone using S+, you can do the bulk of the work with just Foundations, as S+ foundations stack, up and downwards Painting the stonework helps hide that "new built" look a bit too Great job Sam!

This is the best castle. Dragon age 4 and other games should take notes. The castle designing team are great in ark.

Thats because ARK Devs dont design the castles, all the castles are from Mod made maps turned into free DLC, various mod makers designed the castles But youre right they are good, no doubt reference real castle plans

It’s a great build but it’s all done in fly mode, most ppl want to know how to do it on official or as a regular plebe. So maybe do 1 with scaffolding and ladders. Just in my opinion.

I would think people would have grapples, a quetz or a tapjara for something of this size. It's just not viable for me to do this that way, the video would look horrible.

that's unfortuante that's it's not for vanialla, the crane is a big problem as well as the wall debris that require using triangle foundations, fence foundations, pillars to cover the holes quick tip i found, use tek bridge to line up a foundation to it from each side of the wall from the top (sorry if my english is not correct) great work though, I enjoyed and can't wait to see the keep build

Thankyou! The way I lined the foundations up works on official but when it comes to filling in the gaps your going to have to work around that.

@@zackarysutton6650 Are you playing in single player, an official server or a unofficial server? The reason I ask is becuase if you are on single player you can change a setting that allows you to place structures through terrian and other structures. It's called collison.

Heyyo, at around 3:30 you start placing the wood pillars at the bottom and then your able to place like 8 ceilings, but when I try it I can only get the 2 ceilings before needing another pillar. Am I doing something wrong with the placement

Make sure that the pillars are snapped off of the pillars behind them, don't free place them.

Be warned, if you do this on Official, you will have a lot of gaps because of the terrain clipping issues.
