Ark Royal torpedo bombers are decent, but her level bombers are hot garbage. The number of bombs are impressive, but 19mm of pen doesn't mean much.

The HE bombers really struggle against BBs when the Ark Royal is bottom tiered because of the crappy penetration. Lots of chances to set fires every time though.

The Ark Royal has really really slow planes so it kind of has to play a forward position to get the most out of it, although that's obviously really risky too.

Is the British CV line any fun? I'm playing the German and American carriers atm and the British seem interesting just based on the history of all those vessels!

They are fun but lack the burst, if you want to be efficent you are kidna dependant on the enemy team to make mistakes like using their DCP for one fire. The British line is slow and steady dmg while the German line for example is hitting hard instantly. I play the Britisch one if I want to have a chill game and see my dmg climb from fires/floods instead of big numbers adding up every time I hit something. In conclusion: German - Heavy instant dmg, little to no way to hunt DDs except torps and rockets being somewhat viable against them. Japan - Hard hitting bombs, decent torps, mediocre DD hunting capabilities American - A mix of both, exellent for DD hunting Britisch - Dmg over time, good for DD hunting

The ark royal is my current favourite ships the t4 and t6 are decent but the t8 is very underwhelming I haven't gotten the t10 yet as I can't be bothered to finish the implacable grind

Go to Settings > Controls > Alternative Interface mode. Click the drop down menu and change it to "Full". That's it. No need to install any mods.

Couple of days ago, I asked a friend (XPERT CV player :) which one of the brit cv's he woud recommend...- "ARK ROYAL without question" he replied,, so I picked one up. Gotta tell you, I HATE CV's with MORE than a passion!!!!! BUT-- damned this ship is hella fun LOL.

Tech tree brit cvs are underpowered, there are a couple of different ways to focus commander skills on an AR captain, good idea to play around and see what works for you (standard builds for brit cv may not be the right one for AR).

Is it a bug or why is the ordinance always landing in the lowest part of the reticle?

The replay is deceiving, the reticle looks different in the actual game than in replays. It's pretty visible if you play a German CV and look at the rocket planes, the reticle will always look like you drop way to late but in reality it is on waterline instead of behind the ship. Hope that explained your question.

He does have Aircraft Armor, see the captain skills at 0:08. He's using Andrew Cunningham so it's an enhanced Aircraft Armor skill with 11.5% damage reduction instead of 10%.

Have to be very careful with target selection (easy targets / avoid clustered ships) and bombs are only good for DD in T8 games... rockets against AA cruisers to avoid taking too many losses from AA and torp solo BB.

very slow... in most cases damage is mediocre because of that, seems to be why he pushed so hard to cycle planes faster
