If anyone is having issues with any events, a good piece of info to know: after genesis was released, wildcard has since removed a lot of art assets and other assets from the game. Most of them were event assets. So far I've found that most events don't work anymore. The ones that completely don't work as far as I know are the valentine's events, easter, and the anniversary events. I can confirm that the summer bash event works fine. Idk about the rest. But keep in mind, if an event isn't working for you it's likely because it's not even in the game anymore or most of it's assets are gone so you might only have access to half of the event content. Pretty sad if you ask me, and they're excuse is that they're ending support for the game in preparation for the release of the absolute money grab "ARK 2"

tryed FearEvolved... just when winterwonderland ended it compleetly fkd up the creatures colors and everything is more like normal but 1 creature in 100 has the one zone of an event color... pretty stupid honestly

You mean at the esater event they removed the spawn of the ester dodo and alle the skins from the cooking pot? When i try to acctivate the easter Event i get just the color from the Event 🥺

Anniversary still works. I was Looting party dodos a few minutes ago with the event name "birthday"

WinterWonderland works, just have to enter it in with no spaces - you have to exit out of the game completely after entering it in under the advanced tab at the bottom, it took me a couple enters and exits - closing of the game completely to get it to work, but you’ll know it’s working when the home screen changes to the event theme! (Ps5)

It worked on my Xbox thanks! I put it in single player settings before logging in and then typed it in once in the game. Left like you said to reset log out then after logging in did a dino wipe once I logged in!

Just tried it on xbox. As of November 9 of 2023 it works. You can put in any event at any time and it'll work

Thats what I thought. i tried Deactivate=Winterwonderland Didn't work. Also tried re entering Activate=Winterwonderland In my head if you reinput the same cheat it should deactivate. Still nothing. Winterwonderland is forever activated and i can't turn it off.@@SilentWraithKS

Thanks for clearing up the confusion. I’ve tried several times over the years to activate events and never worked. Used to think you can activate an event and time of the year. But isn’t that option pointless since the events activate themselves once they begin? Why give the option to start an event that already starts and ends on its own?

@@toribraem3071 yeah I believe so. I don’t think I’ve ever entered any event manually and I’ve played them all. They always start on their own on my single player servers and on the servers I play on with my friends using my extra ps4. I’ve never once had to add an event manually.

I use the events to get different color dinos to cross breed for new color combinations...but when I turn on Fear Evolved, or the Easter one, all I get is the Dino colors....I don't get access to the cooking pot things 🤷‍♀️

So can I use this anytime of year for an event? If I wanted to run Fear Evolved all year on my server could I do that? I run into the issue of it not working if it's not during the set time

probably a dumb question but i’ve never activated an event before, i play singleplayer on PS5. Can i activate any event at any time? Some people on Reddit say that you can and some same that you can’t? Can anyone confirm this? Bc i’d like to take some colors even tho is still September

How do I know that the event on ark is available. And I'm on PS4 singleplayer like you? Also how does the event finish? Do you have to put in a command to wipe the event or do you have to update ark application as a event wipe from wildcard?

it automatically stops when it ends but any remaining colorful dinos will stay. The event dates are listed online on the ark wiki page. Its always different but they announce it ahead of time. I usually do an extra dino wipe to just reset everything but its up to you

only when the even is active can you activate it i believe, I've never been able to activate anything early or later then an event week

Is there anyway of disabling this event? It’s leading to over-spawns for dodos and other Easter creatures. I play modded so it’s affecting creature spawns.

yeah even single player there has to be an active event going on. Wildcard pushes an event update every time and then it stops automatically when its over

It’s 2023 so arks official events are done for. I’m able to activate events but only the dinosaurs work (spawn in with event colours) but not sure how to get the cooking pot items, unfortunately I think the cooking pots stuff are when official events are active 🥲 if someone knows something lmk

A lot of the assets for most of the events have been totally removed from the game after the release of Genesis. So, yeah. You can activate the events but only a couple of them work. The summer one works, and that's about it. Some of them kind of work, by that I mean on some you can get the color of the wild dinos, but you can't get any of the cooking pot items. And some events you can only get the cooking pot items. So some of them only half work. Only the summer one works 100% at this point. It sucks...
