Ark Survival Ascended: A-Frame Base Design

This is an older Ark Survival Evolved base design of mine. I wanted to redo it in Ark Survival Ascended because of the change to the build system, specifically the wall height. It makes for steeper slopes and definitely looks better for A-Frames.
The Ark Survival Ascended building mechanics are just far better than the original and I will be trying a few of my older builds out to see how they compare.
This build is technically a modded build because I use glass from the mod Arkitect Structures Remastered. It is just the glass, you can easily swap it out for the glass in vanilla, this just looks better.
Coordinates: 83.9, 56.7
Disclaimer: Most of my builds are always built with the idea that you may want to follow along in mind, however, they are speed builds at their core and I have been known to change my mind mid build. If you plan to follow along, I suggest watching it through a bit further, first. At least now you can pick pieces up!

They aren't stacking. You can't do that. What you're seeing is a foundation being raised up due to the ground being uneven. It's still just one foundation.

They are snapping to a quarter ceiling piece. That way, they can be half over the wall. You do need structure collision to be enabled on your server or single-player playthrough, though, apparently. Even tho it's not appearing to clip.

I like it so much, this structure is simple but the shape, rythme language is on point (to my tastes), like a Mondrian's painting, just lines and squares but the rythme is so good. And i also really like that you went that far and cerated a plan for it, i feel less "ashamed" at some point that i make sketches before building in Ark sometime, like i'm going to far or as if i was too involved in the process of doing a house or whatnot hahaha. Good job !!

If you are playing as a single player, it's a server setting in the game. If you are on a server, then in the game files, you need bDisableStructurePlacementCollision=true

Great build 10/10 !! I've always loved the building system even in ASE despite it being fairly janky :) also if you don't mind me asking, what are your hardware specs? I've heard that ASA is really hefty in performance but it looks great.

@@kiitarie oooh very nice!! that is a beast of a rig you have :,) And yes lag spikes are very common with both Ark Survival games, so i'm not too surprised there unfortunately. Plus the crashing seems to be worse in ASA :/ I have a 2060 super and an i5-9600k but I might upgrade to a 4070 and whatever CPU upgrade I can get soon. Can't wait to be able to try this game out at some point down the line :D

Please can you give me a tip to do that? I tried simply in any way, any direction, standing on ground, standing on other sloped roof, standing on argentavis in mid-air... but snapping doesn't find the correct placement like in your video at minute 7:06 thru 7:16 ! You need to be on a server that has structure collision disabled. It's a server setting. Easy enough to turn on! And it completely opens up the building.

It's snapping to the quarter ceiling. You may need to remove the sloped wall underneath and then place the roof and put the wall back. It's a much easier process if you are on a server with structure collision enabled

I made this on a official server turns out the roof actually isn't possible unless you remove the slopped walls to get the right snap point and also you can't put the ceilings inside each other so there sticking out in the larger room and for the hallway I widened it with quarter ceilings for the floor so there wasn't a gap and no ceiling sticking through

Are you trying in the same spot. It's actually snapping to the quarter ceiling that was placed. If you can't do it that way, try removing the sloped wall underneath, then place the roof and put the sloped wall back. Once you have one roof piece overhanging, the rest will just snap to the roof.

Is there a trick to snap the wood walls onto the sides of the foundations? I cant seem to figure it out🥲

You need to have it actually snap to the wall piece above it. So try aiming more at that.

They are called sloped walls.

I use a mod for the glass because the vanilla glass looks like hot garbage. It's called Arkitect Structures Remastered.
