Ark Survival Ascended: Frontier Oasisaur Base Design

The entire intro of this video is missing. I don't know what happened. So I am sorry to anyone that missed the memo that you need to be able to change the ini files to complete this on an Oasisaur. You can always try it on the ground, like a normal build. The Oasisaur is janky at best, anyways. I'm just glad it started at the start of the build, or things would have been weird LOL.
I am so happy with how the Frontier stuff from Bob's Tall Tales looks! It looks incredible. It's even better that it's a cosmetic because now you won't have to sacrifice your metal tin cans for PVP and they can look better!
I just had to do my first frontier build on the back of an Oasisaur. They are a lot smaller than I thought they would be. And I definitely don't like the limits (I adjusted the structure limit), the height limit especially sucks! However, they make a pretty neat base build. One of the best base builds I have done!
On the bright side, I did all of this in just a few hours XD

Since this is a cosmetic build it does not matter what material you use for these pieces.
Mods used: Zero mods used in the creation of the build (This is a vanilla build). Purely decorative mods were used in the interior (next video). They are Circa's Garden Decor (plants and tree) and JVH Landscaping Mod (vines).
Disclaimer: Most of my builds are always built with the idea that you may want to follow along in mind, however, they are speed builds at their core and I have been known to change my mind mid build. If you plan to follow along, I suggest watching it through a bit further, first. At least now you can pick pieces up!

Or that piece at the back. Honestly though, I would just build it on the ground. The Oasisaur is super buggy.

I learned a few tips here, like the way you used quarter walls to center a window or door between two foundations. That helps me a lot! I’ve been off-centering the door because I like even numbers of foundations. Looks awesome!

This can be done if you can change your server settings. You need to adjust the mac structure limit. It's one of the settings in the game, not the files. Otherwise, it most definitely can be done if you just put it on the ground.

how are you getting such great framerate? I have a super deluxe PC right now and recording my builds is near impossible. Same settings as the island and yet my game is performing horribly. Is it just not possible to play above low settings right now? Build is amazing btw. Was thinking about building on one of these guys but then thought it might not be worth it

The server setting you want is a PerPlatformMaxStructuresMultiplier. I set it to 5000. I did have a memo at the start of this video, but unfortunately, it got clipped out in upload. I'm not sure how. My entire intro is missing.

Ok nice, but 2 questions. If u build like that, will the dino still move and fly? Or do u need special mods or settings? Otherwise its kind of useless. Second...do the oasisour still produce materials for u when u build over the crystls and other things?

It still moves and flies! I'm pretty certain it stopped producing when built over the resources, though. I haven't tested enough.

Last time I logged in to check something for someone, the Oasisaur had nothing on it at all. Even though I didn't remove everything. They were all just gone. Fingers crossed, they fix them.

Only if you count. I count as I build so I can give our a material list in the video and description. Otherwise, I would never bother. A mod that tells you would be useful for platform builds like this. IDK if one exists.

Yeh, those nodes are gone like a normal node.

You can't place foundations that close, but I could expand with ceiling pieces. I do play with structure collision enabled. Maybe that's the cause?

Very carefully. They are so Janky. I had to fill out spaces with ceilings, and it took me a while to figure out where to put it. I also had to increase the structure limit. It was a mess.

TIP!: watch the whole video and take notes on how many of each item is used then pre build your mats once youve done your tally. The material list is a little off so make sure to make your own.

Lol, thanks for all the comments. I count as I build and sometimes just forget. It's highly possible that I forgot to count an entire floor. I'm only human. I will try and take more care, but at the same time, if you started building in even a slightly different slot, then yeh, your building count is going to be different. I used 18 foundations because I had to fill out a lot with ceilings and walls. Unless building in a perfectly flat area, you're always going to find slight discrepancies. I will make a note of this in future videos. ♡ I appreciate you taking the time, lol. Sorry for the rollercoaster of a build.
