Having played it for a few hours there are many QoL improvements, along with better path finding for dinos. Building is A LOT better now. The ambience of the island somehow feels more wild and exotic. So yeah visually speaking it isn’t much but there are improvements. That being said if you wait out for optimization no one would blame you.

So it's better textured, animation isn't cleaned up, and ultimately still puts money in Snail's pockets. Nah fam. Ark, love ya dearly, but the many wrong turns in development and utter incompetence of multiple parties within the dev and ownership side means the magic is gone and this isn't enough to bring it back. Hope y'all have fun and can recapture some of the shine that the game used to have.

This is ASA not ark 2. In ASA it's just an upgraded and *fixed* ASE, so the camera can be both 1st & 3rd.

Hopefully the building isnt gonna be a let down. The screwed the pooch with not putting survival plus as a real thing in the last game. Yea had alot of ways to build and looks but it was still kinda jankie and limited when it came to being able to make a build look legit and not like some mindcraft building.

Ok im going to say it one last Time on THIS video ( first off pardon my french) alright so ASA is a direct UPGRADE to ark in terms of - graphics OVERHAULED + RTX - AI revamp (certenely more to come) - ASSET QUALITY REVAMP (in progress because ITS EARLY ACCÈS) = YOU NEED A BETTER PC OBVIOUSLY GOD DAMN MARKETING might be off i get it but come on what were you guys expecting oh and if i keep seeing people with 1080 complaining about performance but not turning off rtx feature i will seriously loose my shit
