Yeah, take all the " out of the script. If you're getting to the ticking loop, you're 99% of the way there. Its likely something not starting properly in the Server name from the batch file and on

could you please make a video on making a cluster. I can make a cluster but the problem I run into is only one map shows at a time. every time I hit refresh the other map shows in the list. back and forth. I dont understand how to get the multi home to work right.

Yeah I just tried your guide as well, the error these people were getting was the file pathname. I updated the name from server to servers as well, is gives the error: "Windows cannot find ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ArkAscendedServer.exe. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again". I checked the file name extension and it matches, so I don't know why it can't find that path. I even tried just copying the filepath directly and it still couldn't find it.

I guess start C:\Servers\ASA\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ArkAscendedServer.exe fixes it, but thats a little weird

It's suppose to update when you start it yes. However you can do it manulaly buy starting SteamCMD like you did when you first installed the server basically rerun those first steps. 1. Set your server directory 2. login anonymous 3. app_update validate

yes i gave more than 10mins to show on the server list and i use a dedicated server host (not like nitrado or anything) so it should just work like all my other servers but it doesn't@@luciandev

Excellent video well explained, the .bat file works great, opened all my ports on the firewall and on the router, however I cant see my server listed, I have looked in the unoffical the lan etc but its not showing anyone got any ideas

Try adding the server to your favorites from steam, see. Sometimes ARK takes awhile to update the server list.

You can put it on w/e drive you want, I just used my c drive in the video. Just make sure your change the paths in the .bat file to match what drive you put everything on.

If one does not exist you can simply make one yourself and put in whatever settings you desire.

Maybe a dumb Q, but should I be seeing my server in the list when I go to Join from in game? I am seeing that the server is starting up as version 26.27, but my game is on version 26.32

Yes even if the version isn't the same as the game you should still see your server in the server list. Make sure you are looking in unofficial

It is possible, however it isn't natively done as of right now it only officially supports Windows. I try to keep my tutorials simple for everyone to understand so I haven't created one. But I do plan on making tutorials like that in the future.

You can't type directly into the console. You can go in-game and type in commands though via the in-game console.

No need for a new video, all you have to do is take the ports I showed you in this video from the firewall, access your router go to portforwarding and open up the same ports there just like in the firewall.

You don't need to remove them, you can but you need to redo them for some reason the formatting doesn't copy/paste correctly so the "" you are getting from the copy doesn't actually work the .bat isn't reading it as such and that's what messing it up. So just manually redo the quotes yourself and you should be good to go.

is the startup .bat you set an admin password. Once your in-game you open up the console by hitting the ` key on your keyboard (The button to the left of the 1) and type in enablecheats without < >

@luciandev6630 I figured it out. If you have the admin server password in the batch file and the .ini file it can screw it up. I removed the admin server password from .bat file and only added to .ini file and it worked perfect!

make sure your view file name extensions, because if not the file could be just called .bat and not actually be a .bat file.

@@razorlord2 The original comment was edited. If you are having a hard time finding your server try adding it to steam favorites to see if the server shows up there. If it doesn't show up there, then there is another issue going on.

As of right now it only official supports Windows. You can use linux however, I like to keep my guides as simple as possible to cater to everyone. I only show guides on OS's that are officially supported. Once/if Linux is officially supported I will do a Linux guide.

My friend just got the server running without issues on PC but I cannot log in the server. I got a message “Joining Failure” in my PS5 when I try to enter the server. He got all ports open but the error is still there.
