Lets Build a yacht in today's video, your own personal yacht, armored like a tank and very stylish, makes a great mobile base on the water.
key notes before attempting this build:
►Quite a few resources are required, metal mainly, as well as some end game structures for some, however these structures can be substituted for other easier to obtain structures.
►Arks platform building is quite clunky, which may cost you resources from time to time.
►May take 2-3+ hours to build.
►Extended platform structures settings.

@@yeshuaslivingwordoftruth4267 I just used vanilla objects in my build. I was able to attach triangle ceilings, then snap a foundation underneath of that ceiling, then remove the ceiling afterwards. It worked really well and I could extend out a lot, you just need to watch the build-limit on servers.

Hey man, im not sure if this is what you mean, but if you place the sloped metal wall left and right pieces in like i did in the video, those sloped roof windows should snap right in, sloped roof pieces wont snap properly unless you have "sloped wall left/right" pieces to snap to

@@Mike_E_DeShaman TLK gaming never removed the ceilings when placing down the foundations under them the build doesnt require them frees up about 20 peices also there are a couple shortcuts you can t ake because he over uses triangles on the sides when you can use squares. take out the front green house panels makes visibility better and don't put windows in in al the window spots all told those simple replacements frees up over 60 units all told

Just tried this on a solo server and for some reason it won't allow me to place any triangle foundations, the square ones work find but the triangles don't. No idea why

I know this really late...but square thatch ceilings trick the system in Xbox to allow to attach the triangular foundations. Then add them in diagonal to be able to attach the forward square foundations and it should work. Don't ask me why it works like this...but looking at one of Aaron Longstaffs videos where he uses thatch ceilings...got me thinking and it worked...let me know how it goes!!!

Getting the upper window walls to properly align is damn well impossible. Couldn’t manage the ceiling pieces on the end due to it being too far away. It’s nice looking but you can’t see where your going when driving it.

I don't know what the triangle slopes ceiling is. I tried the Triangle Sloped Right but it just placed it Upwards, not across. Im on ps4, here is time stamp 5:07

I did it, but also simultaneously made a larger version by two blocks so instead of 2 wide with the square floor i went 4 wide then did the triangle floors the ships shell resulted in a different more rounded but front vrs the triangle front as well due to the size increase after the 14 minute mark I 100% took over for the rest of the ship (on my version I was building I built yours to the T then extended the bottom balconys then added one around the landing pad so it looks basically identical body wise to yours) also I built my version out of wood not metal...trying to make a bad ass huge pirate ship xD so wood it was for mine. I I evently plan to show people what iv made on my channel etc so if you are interested when I finally get around to making the video or videos I'll gladly let you know so you can see both my version and my stab at your build. Regardless danka for the video it helped add yet another way to start a ship build to my growing list of methods..oh on a off note iv also been messing with hover skiffs and I'll I'll evently do dino platform builds as well...as soon as I get bored of ship making that is 😂😂😂😂

Done it now looking awsome just dyes left , for xbox users to place the triangle foundations u need to use the square fatch roof then put the triangle base under that solves the problem bit of fidling here and there 😁

This build is NOT possible on most servers. He increased structure limit sooo if your on a server you don't own its probably not going to be possible. I found this out 3/4 of the way (a lot of metal) into the build. Would've been nice of that had been mentioned AT THE BEGINNING OF THE VIDEO.

Hey! Loving this build! I'm trying to do it on my Ark, but I'm encountering some issues. I am trying to build a boat as long, but when I try my last ceilings (from the swimming platform) I get the "This structure is too far away from the platform" before time, so my yatch becomes one ceiling shorter. I'm playing single player on local host. I have been able to adjust the limit of structures on the platform, but I can't figure out if there is an option to change that specific limit. Does anyone know if there is a workaround/fix for this? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Yeh this is an issue that can't be fixed, unless you can apply mods, if you can't put the front end ceilings on you'll have to go back to motorboat and move the first foundations you placed back a bit, the annoying things is it could be something as simple as a couple of inches or a full foundation.

Also, on the top floor I'm only able to pass through the doors when crouched. Is this normal or did I do something wrong? If I remove the triangle metal roof I can walk and I have tried replacing the metal roofs, but they always end up in the same place.

@@sarofsky if your on ps unfortunately for us there are no mods, you can only mod on pc, as for the doorway issue, this is usually because the ceiling is a fraction to low which can be a nightmare, what you can do is take the ceilings connected to it out and make sure when you place the ceiling back in, the wall you start off with is aligned to the ceiling or foundation below, not off of a wall below, you can't rely on walls sometimes with arks dodgy placement mechanics

You will have to change server Settings to increase "platform saddle capacity" so you can reach and finish your desired build.

I had the same issue on all of these ship builds (running no mods) where I could place a square foundation with an attached ceiling then another square foundation under that but could never place a tri foundation, and apparently no one else had the issue because I couldn't find mention of it anywhere. I finally figured out the only solution was to place a thatch ceiling instead then it let me place the tri foundation under it with no issues. Only pain was having to do that one at a time to make sure it all snapped right lol.

Trying to make this on a Nitrado server but hitting a structure limit after trying to put the first greenhouse walls and railings up. Is there a setting I should adjust to allow for more structures? I have the Per Platform Max Structures Multiplier set to 5 and upped it to 1,000 but nothing changed.

You can just put elle shards inside it and they act as fuel for it.
