Solution for the glitchy pillars: When you build in between 2 pillars, build bottom up, not top down. After you placed the two pillars, you can snap another one on the ground in the middle of them (there are actually 3 snap points).

Put 2 ceilings out, then swim to the bottom and you can snap the pillars correctly on the sea floor and build upwards to the ceilings. I have very little issues this way. I have all your issues when placing pillars downward.

Hi Sl1pg8r, One thing you can do is whenever you are in the area of your water pen you just spend a minute or two collecting stones along the beach or break nearby rocks. Then you put them in a Storage bin that you have near the pen and just store up. So eventually, if the pen breaks in the future you will have already started up a fair amount. Just an idea.

Be cool if they had a 'Place to ground' feature for pillars. Hold a key and place top pillar and it will auto build to the bottom, or as far as can go with the pillars in your inventory.

We built a pen using the same system and I found out that, once you have the first and third pillars built all the way down, the middle pillar snaps on the same orientation as the other two if placed on the ground, and then you can build up so fast as you did before with pillars 1 and 3.

now that you have the first wall started maybe you could build a platform base over the water in the shallow end. there would already be the beginning of a bridge to the shore for any land dinos you might want to bring out there. you could build a slip to pull a pleisy in if you wanted to load/unload land dinos. you could line some storage along the edge for direct transfer. just a thought

slip the pillars snap to each other when you place them next to each other. so if you start at the lowest point you will build up the pillars instead of down like you are.

Tame up a water dino (whichever you prefer), put it on neutral outside the water pen and name it "Alert the water pen is under attack!" so that if something comes along, and it gets killed, the death message will pop up letting you know...if anyone wants to fly over and stop it from wrecking the place.
