ARKANSAS STATE POLICE - PIT / TVI Maneuver on GMC Denali

Trooper's Narrative:
At approximately, 11:30p.m on 01/05/2024, I responded to assist Saline County Sheriff Department with a welfare concern for
a John Land. Saline County deputies were working with Land's family members using a cell phone tracking app to gather
information on Land's location after it was determined that Land was the main suspect to a shots fired, criminal mischief
incident in City of Hensley. Saline County Deputy Furton was able to locate Land driving in a maroon GMC Denali pickup truck
I-30 west near the 125mm. Deputy Furton advised that Land exited off I-30 west at the 124 and was traveling south on Bryant
Parkway. I was able to get into the area to assist Deputy Furton and perform a traffic stop on Land. Deputy Furton activated his
lights and siren and Land refused to stop. After traveling a from the intersection from Bryant Parkway to the intersection of
Shobe Road and Mills Park Road Land refused to yield to Deputy Furton. At the intersection of Shobe Road and Mills Park
Road, Land made a left turn(south) on Mills Park Road. I took primary in an attempt to get Land stopped. We continued south
on Mills Park Road. Land traveled left of center and reached speeds over 40 miles an hour. I performed a TVI (Tactical
Vehicle Intervention) on Land's vehicle to get him stopped. Land was instructed to exited his vehicle and was placed in custody
without further incident. Land was transported to Saline County jail and charged accordingly.

True, but there's a fair amount of videos showing cars with good technique PITing pickups! There's also a LA video showing a Crown Vic PITing a Land Rover Discovery 1. My Discovery 1 weighed just over 2 ton so I was impressed at that PIT😄

Shout out to Arkansas State Police Trooper William Miller and other LE's who participated in this pursuit and arrest. GREAT job Trooper and you handled this matter in a professional way courteous way. This was/is a dangerous violator. I can't believe he would let his new truck get damaged. Stupid is as stupid does. Jail time for this violator. Thanks for keeping the citizens of Arkansas safe and taking this dangerous criminal off our roads.
