The Steven McDaniel case, in the stolen 2015 gray Jeep Grand Cherokee, that Officer Dunham stopped, the Missouri police threw spike strips in front of him, and the Jeep was stolen. Then they had the audacity to charge McDaniel with defective tires! That's just wrong. It was not even his Jeep! How is McDaniel supposed to know how good of tires are on a car? Your prior comments are complaining that “innocent lives” are being hurt from these pursuits … despite these people they’re chasing being the ones that run from the law, initiate the high speed pursuits in the first place, and being the ones putting NUMEROUS innocent lives at risk solely because they refuse to stop. What is so hard with complying? Why can’t you instead ask why they don’t stop instead of putting people in danger? If one is goofy enough to try and outrun the law or take off during a traffic stop, they earned their position to have the police chase after them, PIT them, and wreck them before they have a chance to do it to some random innocent people on the road. I’d rather they be the ones to be forced to stop than _actual_ innocent people that have nothing to do with their criminal activities, no? The guy on the motorcycle should’ve stopped. He even had the opportunity to do so many times, but he chose to keep going. That’s on him. *HE* made that choice. It’s about time police start chasing after these people to maybe have them think twice about running off because _they_ are the ones putting everyone else at risk with their incredibly selfish decisions. Again, _why_ can’t these people just comply and stop? Why ignore their actions to lay blame on others? You’re being backwards. The vast majority of people that they’re chasing are already speeding all over the roads before anyone has a chance to pursue them. Should we just turn a blind eye to them and let them go off and take out an innocent family or some random person on the side of the road because you don’t want someone to have a PIT maneuver done on them because you get upset over it? jfc If they were to stop these pursuits, I’d bet that you’d be the same type of person to turn and complain that troopers did nothing and didn’t try to go after someone to get them off the roads that was speeding, drunk, and committing crimes if they had wrecked and taken innocent lives, wouldn’t you? Again, you’re being backwards and not bothering to think logically, just pure emotion. Your anger should instead be directed at those that flee and cause chaos while putting EVERYONE ELSE in danger from THEIR actions. They are the cause of it all.
