Pretty good speed and handling for a car at this age. I believe it's a 1998 or 99 Infiniti I30 with the VQ30DE engine, basically the same as a Maxima with more luxurious features. Even if it's not the stupid Mercedes blocking, the cop car still had a hard time catching up in a couple occasions. The guy always tried to use his car's better handling capability at turns to lose the cop. He knows on straight roads and freeways he had no chance to escape at all.

Buddy, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he was most likely speeding and put on his brakes once he saw the cop car. Almost if not all police cars have radar in the back as well. If you didn’t know, now you know.
@davida.p.99112 жыл бұрын
@@Un1t276 That may be true, but there is a curve there and as far as I know radar only measures in a straight line. And it's hard to measure when you're in a thicket of other cars. I know this because I've been in the far left lane, and I've passed troopers running radar on the right hand shoulder with traffic in the center lane and left lane and they've never caught me. If multiple cars pass in front of the radar, it usually gives the speed of the first car it encounters...in this case, the car in the far left lane. If you're savvy enough, you can get away with it.
@Un1t2762 жыл бұрын
@@davida.p.9911 it depends. Radar lasers can be bounced off stationary or moving objects. Regardless if it was or not, this car looked like it was going a bit faster than a few of the other cars in behind it anyway, and I would assume that’s why he went after him.

04:06 - 04:30 in the video he had like 10 chances to just rear end that suspects car until it breaks apart and gets stuck in between all these parked cars.

the cop was quite literally going to PIT maneuver him into oncoming traffic on that first attempt.

We stopped almost all high speed chases in Edmonton Canada after an unmarked crown vic with two detectives t-boned a ford tempo in half at 70mph and mangled an innocent family of five. Detectives were unhurt. Then we bought a chopper. Much safer and a perfect record. Suggest you do the same Arkansas.

So officer says all this was over a speeding ticket? I would have rather let him go than drive like that through a school campus. Now I see he continued the pursuit even after being ordered to discontinue. WTF?
