I agree. I was there at the game yesterday and he was throwing very accurately, it's just that our receivers weren't catching the passes, especially Treylon Burks for some reason. But yes, KJ is the future of the hogs.

A couple years ago Arkansas would’ve lost a game like this probably by 20+. It wasn’t pretty, but they made halftime adjustments and scored 31 straight. That is a significant difference over the previous coaching staff. Lot of issues to work on, but I’ll never take a win for granted after the chad morris years. WPS!

We can’t let the first half scare us. I think the passing game definitely needs to improve, but KJ proved himself as a capable runner, and our defense shut them out in the second half. Lots of improvement to make for Texas, but i have faith.

1980-1984 I was in the Corps of Cadets at A&M. We went to rice for a Corps trip. We did the march in and arrived at the rice football field way before the game. We sat in the parking lot and watched the rice football team arrive. Almost every car they drove came from the same car lot. True story.

I am a Texas fan and I cannot wait until next Saturday. Love the rivalry. I think this bad performance by Arkansas might be because they were looking forward to Texas and first game jitters. I would expect a much better and more focused Arkansas team next Saturday. It should be a fun and probably a good game. I still think Texas will win. Not just because I am a Texas fan but I think Texas is just a better team. On offense both of the Texas Qbs looked more well rounded and reliable. Texas will be focusing on the Arky QB's running ability but he seems much more one dimensional. Texas also has the edge with RBs. Texas has possibly the best RB in the country and two very good back ups. All 3 main Texas RBs could be starters somewhere with #2 Johnson being a starter on many good teams. He is very underrated but Robinson is just a special talent. WRs might go to Arkansas but Texas Wrs looked very good last Saturday. If the QB can get them the ball then average WRs will look great. Arky probably has a better O line but again Texas O line did well. They are very young and need to get rid of some holding penalties. One key to the game should be if Arkansas can get pressure often without blitzing. Hudson Card is elusive but he is true Freshman so he can be rattled. He was not against Louisiana but he was not really pressured that much. Much more pressure could rattle him maybe. We do not know yet. The Texas Defense might have looked better than the Texas offense last Saturday. Very solid game against a very experienced top 25 team with a good QB and running attack. good offense overall. A key will be if Texas can keep the Arkansas QB from running. There seemed to be some big games on QB runs (draws that were planned) some of the plays the QB was not looking to throw at all it seemed. That will be a key. Can the Texas D contain the QB's run. The Arkansas QB will have to step it up in the passing attack. Arkansas cannot be one dimensional against Texas or it will be a long day. I think Texas has the edge on special teams. Texas has a very good kicker and made the plays needed on special teams. Texas ran back a kickoff but there were some holding calls. I am not an expert on Arkansas but I believe Arkansas is at least another year away from being a good team. If Texas plays with the discipline and poise it did against Louisiana then they will win easily. If Arkansas can rattle or confuse the Horns then Arkansas has a good chance. The Horns are poised but they are young. I will not say Texas is back even if Texas soundly beats Arkansas. Texas has a lot more to prove before one can say Texas is back. A win vs. OU and a Big 1 championship is realistic the best Texas can hope for this year. I do not think either will happen but I do believe Texas will be more competetive. They will not be serious NC contenders. Neither will Arkansas but I would love to see both teams get great again so we can have some more classic Texas vs. Arkansas games once Texas joins the SEC. It would be great for the SEC and college football if both teams are very good to great. No more Bama, Georgia, or Florida please. what do you Arkansas fans think? What do you think about the game next week? Arkansas and Texas? I tried to be honest and not a homer. Arkansas can beat Texas but I do not think it will happen.

Defense was good, run game was great, passing game was ok but needs some work, and special teams and was nothing special. Also we have weapons that we didn't use in this game for some reason. Hammonds is lightning fast, Knox is fast and big, and Crawford looks like he's good. Just gotta use everyone we have and we'll be good on offense. WPS!

Yea the score doesn’t really reflect how good the defense was other than that one blown coverage play. The offense left them on the field way too much first half and they had to work with tuff field position drive after drive. I’m a bit worried about the passing game though kj is gonna have to make faster and smarter decisions against better defenses.

Most teams had slow starts. KJ will be fine. That play calling was VERY vanilla. They basically ran a few plays out of different formations. The playbook will definitely open up this coming week. And Coach Briles needs to call plays that are gonna get receivers open. Defense will be fine. But we need the offense to play angry! And Hudson Henry needs to come alive and come right now! Trey Knox and Ketron Jackson are gonna need to be lights out this week!
