Bought this Fridge because of your review. Put it through it’s paces over the long holiday weekend camping and running the Mojave Trail. Used a bit more power overnight the second night since it was a much hotter night. But worked like a charm. So nice not to need to replenish ice while on the trails. Had it set to 37 degrees and was like pulling things out of the fridge at home the entire weekend. 100% worth it!!!! Thanks for the great video.

I'm with you when it comes to the location of the controls. They are in a very awkward position. I've been looking at all the different models on Amazon and a lot of them all look like they come from the same Chinese factory. But the kicker for me right now is Bouge RV's customer service reputation and their 2 year warranty. So I'm pretty sure I'll go with this one. Thanks for your complete honest opinion.

I’ve taken the Bougerv on 2 trips so far. Other than the price, I think it’s greatest feature is the low voltage cut off. You can run this fridge on less than 10v. This allows you to run it off an unregulated 12v power station. The latch to me is it’s biggest downfall, but not a deal breaker.

@cyclemoto87443 жыл бұрын
thanks for the content. I would like to add that it really isn't possible to review a product without having used it regularly for a decent period of time. Particularly a fridge, which needs to be tested whilst off roading and during summer. Anyone looking to purchase their first fridge should really save their $ and purchase a good quality fridge. Buy right, buy once! FYI, I've had a cheap fridge and now own a National Luna. Wish I had never wasted the money on the cheap one. One last point, a budget fridge is useless once the electronics fall apart on trip.

One huge issue when buying overlanding gear in Canada, minus the US exchange, is shipping and duty. Buying an ARB, Dometic or other 12v fridge or even a Yeti cooler, becomes cost prohibitive. When you consider that you need a portable power station that can run the thing, you see how the costs just rise and rise! With either an LG or Danfoss compressor, Vevor, BougeRv, Iceco and others, are providing excellent alternatives for the 'brand' name fridges. I found a Vevor 12v with an LG compressor, and it was $469 Cdn...so roughly $300 USD, 58qt and tough as old boots. When comparing this to a fridge in Cdn dollars that will run you from $1200-$2600; it becomes a no-brainer. Unfortunately, word is out on the Iceco's, and their price is creeping up!

Just getting into outlanding and doing a lot of research just got my first Tacoma and love it but it is only a 4x2. Question. What is the best set up as far as the power pack and running a fridge for 3-4 days? I don’t have the 4x4 so I don’t have to outlet in the back to charge the power pack while driving and it seems it might be a little bit of a hassle to run the 12v plug from the bed to the front of the truck.
