The Jerry CE5 from infiray is a next generation thermal clip-on. We typically are not huge fans of the thermal clip-ons on the market. Many of them do not provide enough value for the end user to make it worth the price. While we admit the CE5 is not for everyone... it certainly should not be ignored.

I picked up the photonis vypers from you and recently added the Jerry CE5 used for 2400… dude had it for a month. It’s insane. Last night I saw a “golf ball” glowing in the woods about 50 feet away and went to investigate, when I arrived within 20 feet it resolved and was a field mouse. Haha. Crazy level of detection.

Love your guys content and have binged every episode as I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a nv/th setup. While i appreciate the effort on this one i am sure you realize you choked on the target laying in 3’ of grass and then waving his arms is hardly a convincing comparison….. mostly because it was easy to see both nv and th with a target waving. Anyhow I have a consult in my cart and i think you will find my use case intriguing. ( currently using a $200k FLIR system in marine environment.

Is it ambient temperature sensitive? IE my FLIR Breach quits after +/-10min in sub freezing temps, which is 6mo+ in my AO. Need something more reliable in the cold.

No not that I'm aware. Maybe you could do something through the charging port but I highly doubt it

Infiray doesnt make fusion panos, only the jerry FB has a smart capable battery pack, and no it doesnt link with ATAK. I own the ce5 and love it for what it is. however im super interested in both the jerry fb and panos. if infiray made the fb in a pano form I would be very excited!

So im a total newby to night vision and thermal as i search for my first purchase but im guessing the cigarette is for light to help the night vision? Am i wrong?

@@Arkayne Nice! I used to smoke back in the day and thought it was unusual. I thought a guy told me you could use the light of a cigarette to be enough to activate night vision. I hope that makes sense.

@@daniel-eo3rz It will certainly make some visible light, but it is very little. Not enough to really do anything for night vision. Although if you have the burning cigar close to the unit, it will be bright enough to leave temporary burns in the intensifier tube.

@@Arkayne thank you for the info. Yeah I was at a gun show and the guy at the night vision stand told me that when he was showing me a pvs14. He said you could see the entire building in complete darkness just off a cigarette burning. Great video! I certainly must do more research before I can make a purchase...
