Hi guys, new subscriber here. I like the content and the messaging. I'll definitely bindge watch more videos later. Im a inventor and currently we're working on a thermal project ourselves. I was wondering if you guys, at a later date, would be interested in receiving a prototype to test out. I was originally going to work with falcon claw in Estonia but apparently our defense department will come looking for me if i do military applications out of country first lol. So if youre interested let me know and we'll work something out 👍

Do these only come in green? Is WP an option? How’s the FOM, clarity and battery life? Are they water resistant to a certain depth for a period of time and what temperatures do they work in? I’ve been running the L3HARRIS GPNVG for a couple years. They’re slick, but adding a thermal element to your nods is next level. I tried to combine a thermal tube with a pvs-14 and it was turning into a nightmare trying to find two that would bridge properly with an adequate battery pack.

I have no idea why you didn't use 4G+ High Gain tubes? Plus, the NL levels presented are in Bortle 1 conditions, not something many people will encounter.

We will be revisiting this later next year when there are…other options available. The calibrated room wasn’t so much about “real scenarios people face” so much as it was to level the field to focus in on how each tube behaved. We will have even more refinement / scientific approach next time around. There’s lots we would have changed going back.

I woke up one night to a power outage in a rural area, storm going and so over cast. I grabbed my Elbit XLS, turned it on, thought something was wrong with it. Outside it was still very usable. Inside not so much with what little light was coming in through the window. I could see just enough with necked eye to have very good spacial awareness to move about. Familiarity with my surroundings helped, but this comparison showed me how good our eyes adapt when in darkness for several minutes or perhaps hours as in this case. I felt super human. lol. A lot of us probably don’t realize our true limit because we are exposed to light sources so often and the adaptation evidently takes a while.

I’ve heard bridging thermal and a pvs14 doesn’t work for many people. Does this bridge help solve that based on the x,y,z alignment capability? Or is that just a brain issue?
@ArkayneАй бұрын
When running dual band you’re taking very dissimilar images of two very different units and putting them together. For that reason, most will not be able to seamlessly “blend” the images in your brain. The benefit isn’t in blending images, it’s in having fast access to the best traits of thermal and NV on one helmet setup. Some people claim to be able to blend images in their brain, but that’s not our objective. Yes, having fully adjustable axes is critical for proper function, no matter what unit you’re running. Hope that helps!

How does this compare with the Rayvn Rail? I’m considering upgrading I have a MH25 and PVS14.
@ArkayneАй бұрын
I'll do my best to answer this. First and foremost, we've made it a point to not be bashing other products. The Symbiote is just one option of many on the market. For some people, it will be perfect. Here is the best way to put it: The Rayvn is a little less expensive, but you will likely need to purchase other adapters to make it interface with your units. Once doing that, you will find that you will be limited in adjustment to properly align all units on the market. They do offer some specific adapters to make it better, but pay attention to what units they are meant for and ensure that your units are properly aligned. Not all units will work seamlessly in that bridge. The Symbiote brings it all together in one package. We include everything needed for nearly every commercial optic on the market. This means the guesswork is gone. Additionally, you have FULL adjustment in the X, Y, and Z Axes. You will be able to properly align all units you may be running with this bridge. No other bridge has been available readily and able to make those claims. The Rayvn bridge is an elegant looking bridge, it seems like a stout product, but it lacks the adjustability of the symbiote. But, there are many people running it. Hopefully that helps a bit! Let us know if you have further questions! ~ Jared
@zacharymoore5555Ай бұрын
@ Jared, I really appreciate the response and the information you and your team put out. I actually went ahead and purchased your Symbiote the day I asked the question. So far the Rayvn has served me well but I wasn’t 100% satisfied. It was just the best option thus far. But the main selling points for the symbiote (cool name btw) were the following: #1 Adjustable X,Y,Z axis This is the major factor for dual band in my opinion and perhaps the most important to get the images to align enough. #2 the Detachable Dovetail system. After running the Rayvn rail for a bit I wanted to detach my thermal. While you get this from most dual band setups like the ModArmory and Wilcox bridges you don’t get this from the Rayvn. You’re locked in and best you can do is swing a sight out of the way. #3 Weight savings… after using Noisefighter products I don’t scoff at quality 3D printed items. Sure it’s cool to have things machined and all but weight is critical and dual band is heavy. Rayvn was fairly light overall but the total setup still weighed in around ~27oz so anything I can shave off is an upgrade for my neck. I’m hopeful the symbiote will make the changed I want. I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of money trying to get this configuration to work the way I want it. I appreciate you guys innovating. Much respect, - Zach

@ArkayneАй бұрын
When you compare to all other bridges, this one is less expensive because it comes with everything you need, all up front. No piecing parts together. If you want capability and true cohesion between your units, this is the only bridge that does that.
@jhendiesАй бұрын
It might seem expensive for something that is 3d printed... But if you wanted to build the same setup using existing options, it would cost damn near $2000
@ArkayneАй бұрын
@@jhendies We are in full support of folks designing and printing their own products. If you already have the setup, the materials, and the skillset, you can create some amazing products and one-off's. But you are right: The investment is steep, especially if you are starting at ground zero. Thanks for the comment!

I love this thing. I couldn't bend the J-arm no matter how hard I tried. Running their Viper/ ST6 with the symbiote for the next milsim west event. The symbiote came with so many spare parts that I was almost able to make a bridge for my brother with some other spare parts I had lying around. I 100% recommend this.
@OliveDrabWizardАй бұрын
* I clarify that I couldn't bend it with my bare hands. I could probably maim it with tools or a vice grip.
@ArkayneАй бұрын
@@OliveDrabWizard Basically to break it you need to clamp it and grab a vice grip and have at it with force. We've tested it rigorously: even abusive environments will not break them. And if something breaks, your unit is likely messed up. Thanks for the support!!

If you are worried about the strength, I wouldn't be concerned. Carbon fiber reinforced Nylon is very tough. People print all sorts of stuff out of it and this bridge has metal reinforcement in some areas like around screws. Very tough.

@@OliveDrabWizardonly thing I’ve noted is comparing the polymer panobridge with the metal one, there is much less flex so that vision was much more stable when moving around (dual band).
