Here's a former Mystère fan: Wendy has probably gone too far in her statements about Cirque, but is it fair that after almost 20 years of that fateful "interview" she continues to receive so much hate from people "blind" to the company? Yes, it may sound disrespectful towards her former colleagues (both musicians, artists and acrobats). Even though I've gotten to know Cirque Tribune five years after that excerpt was published, a screenshot (which I still have) shows how cruel fans can be, and in some ways, I don't forget the misogyny-filled, critical words. towards her physique, even wanting to compare her with Nathalie Gauvin, is too much. Lastly, it is not about defending her (because her statements are not justifiable), but whether you like it or not, her voice will continue to transcend generations. The album was recorded almost 28 years ago and her voice is still heard. The company could have easily released another CD officially, and yet it never did. I do not intend for this comment to be to everyone's liking, but my wish is that, once and for all, we know how to leave the past behind and continue listening to her. ¡Long live, Mystere!

I don't really get why some fans focus on that so much, it was just a few mildly critical comments about Cirque she made in one interview more than 20 years ago. I still love her performance in Mystère and I think it should be rightfully celebrated :)

Wendy was the best substitute for Elise, both womens have a very similar mezzo voice and the cirque did not have to make major changes to the soundtrack to adapt it to his voice.
